Цель урока: Совершенствование навыков устной речи
по теме «Sports».
Задачи урока:
·
активизировать изученную
лексику по теме: «Sports»;
·
активизировать навыки
устной речи, чтения о спорте и его пользе для укрепления здоровья людей;
·
закрепить навыки
употребления лексики о спорте в диалогической речи;
·
развивать умение
аудировать текст с целью извлечения конкретной информации;
·
извлекать необходимую
информацию при выполнении заданий к тексту;
·
формировать здоровый образ
жизни, понимание важности занятий спортом для укрепления здоровья;
·
воспитывать коллективизм,
умение работать в группе, помогать друг другу.
Оборудование: доска, картинки о спорте,
карточки с лексикой, лексические опоры, мультимедийная система, магнитофон.

I. Организационный момент.
Teacher: Good morning, children! I am glad to see you. Take
your places. Let’s begin our lesson. What date is it today?
Pupil 1: Today is the … .
Teacher: The topic of our lesson is “Sports And Games”. As
you know, sport is a very important thing in our life. People all over the
world are fond of sport and games. Sport makes people healthy and keeps fit.
The ancients said: “A sound mind in a sound body.” Sport can help us to relax,
to make new friends and to plan our life, to develop our mind and body.
Today we shall repeat the words, make up the dialogues,
listen to the texts about different kinds of sports and games and do some
exercises. I wish you good luck.
The motto of our lesson is “Health is better than wealth”.
How can we translate this proverb?
Pupil 1: “Здоровье лучше, чем богатство”.
Teacher: What must we do to be healthy?
Pupil 2: We must go in for sports.
II. Фонетическая зарядка.
Teacher: You are right, children. Let’s pronounce correctly
the words you need to discuss the topic. Listen to me and repeat the words,
word combinations after me.
(Ученики повторяют за учителем слова).
Cricket, rugby, athletics, boating, rowing, running, boxing,
skating, skiing, swimming, lawn tennis, competition, to go in for, to take part
in, to train.

III. Речевая зарядка.
Teacher: As far as I know, many pupils of our school go in
for sports. They represent our school in sport competitions. But some children
at school are not interested in sport at all. The others prefer to watch it on
TV.
Teacher: Will you look at the blackboard? Here you can see
the schemes. I want you to answer the questions and complete the schemes.
Teacher: 1) Do you like sports?
Pupil 3: Yes, I do. I like sports.
Teacher: 2) What kind of sport do you enjoy? What is your
favourite sport?

Pupil 1: I enjoy swimming.
Pupil 2: I enjoy football and basketball.
Pupil 3: I enjoy skiing and skating.
Pupil 4: I enjoy tennis.
Pupil 5: I enjoy athletics and gymnastics.
Pupil 6: I enjoy volleyball and badminton.
Teacher: 3) What kinds of sports are popular with children?
Pupil 7: Many kinds of sports are popular with children
football, basketball, swimming, athletics, skiing, skating and some others.
Teacher: 4) Do you go in for sports?
Pupil 8: Yes, I do. I go in for sports.
Teacher: 5) Why do you go in for sports?
Pupil 9: I go in for sports because I want to be healthy and
strong.
Teacher: 6) How does sport help you in your life? Does sport
help you to be in a good shape?
Pupil 10: Sport helps me to be in a good shape.
Teacher: 7) Does your class team take part in sport
competitions?
Pupil 1: Yes, of course. Our team always takes part in sport
competitions.
Teacher: 8) Are there a lot of fitness clubs in Kolomna? What
are they?
Pupil 2: Yes, there are. There are many fitness clubs in our
town.
IV. Контроль домашнего задания.
Teacher: Well done, thank you, pupils. I see that all of you
enjoy sport very much. And teens can choose different kinds of sports. Now,
let’s check up your home text about games and sports in Britain.
The first group prepared a shot retelling of the text. The second group
prepared questions to the text. The third group prepared true or false
statements.
Let’s begin with the 3d group. Listen to their statements. If
the statement is wrong, correct it, please. Are the sentences true or false?
Now, listen to the 2nd group. They have prepared
some questions. Thank you, very much. Let’s listen to the 1st group.

V. Активизация лексики по теме «Спорт».
Teacher: Good for you, pupils. Look at the schemes, read and
answer the questions:
(Ученики сами читают вопросы и отвечают на них).
Pupil 1: 1) What summer sports do you know?
Pupil 2: Summer sports are football, swimming, athletics,
tennis, badminton.
Pupil 3: 2) What winter sports do you know?
Pupil 4: Winter sports are skating, skiing, hockey, figure
skating.
Pupil 5: 3) Which are indoor sports?
Pupil 6: Indoor sports are basketball, volleyball,
gymnastics.
Pupil 7: 4) Which are outdoor sports?
Pupil 8: Outdoor sports are football, skiing, athletics,
badminton.
Teacher: Give the words corresponding to the following
definitions:

Teacher: I see you are tired a
little, let’s have a rest and listen to the song. Who sang this song? Which
word belongs to our topic of the lesson? Have you heard it?
VII. Диалогическая речь.
Teacher: We shall continue our lesson. Now your task is to
prepare short dialogues. Be ready to act out your dialogues. I’ll give you 3
minutes. Who is ready to act the dialogue out?
Dialogue 1(Group 1). Be ready to read the dialogue aloud and
to translate it (work in pairs).
A: Where are you going, I’d like to know?
B: To the stadium.
A: What for?
B: To play football a little. Will you go with me?
A: I’m sorry but I can’t. I’m busy now.
B: It’s a pity. Goodbye, then.
A: Goodbye.
Dialogue 2 (Group2). Be ready to make up your own dialogue
and to act out it. Use your own words instead of underlined ones.
A: Where are you going, I’d like to know?
B: To the stadium.
A: What for?
B: To play football a little. Will you go with me?
A: I’m sorry but I can’t. I’m busy now.
B: It’s a pity. Goodbye, then.
A: Goodbye.
Dialogue 3(Group 3). The lines of your dialogue are mixed.
Put the sentences into the order. Be ready to act out your dialogue.
A: I like basketball too, besides my brother will be a
referee in this match. (3)
B: That’s a good idea. I like basketball very much. (2)
A: Let’s go to the sport ground to watch a basketball match.

Dialogue 4 (Group 4). Try to make up your own dialogue with
the words in you card. Be ready to act out them.

Pupil 2: I am Zenit’s fan.

Pupil 1: As for me, I like Ronaldo.
He is the best player.
Dialogue 5 (Group 5). Try to make up your dialogue with the
words in your card. Be ready to act out them.

Pupil 1: Let’s go to the stadium and watch a football match.
Pupil 2: That’s a good idea. I like football very much.
Pupil 1: I like football too, besides my brother will be a
referee in this match.

VIII. Аудирование.
Teacher: You have prepared very good dialogues. But now, we
are going to listen to the texts about sports and games. Listen to the texts
and guess what kinds of sports they describe. Fill in the table. You may use
the scheme.
There are some new words in the texts. Listen to these words
and repeat after me:

Teacher: Take
red pens and check the answers of your neighbour. What is number one (two,
three, four, five, six)?
IX. Домашнее задание.
Teacher: Please, write down your homework!
Read the text which is called “Sport in the USA”.
Each group will have its own task.
The 1st group: Your task is to prepare a short
retelling of the text. (6-7 sentences)
The 2nd group: Your task is to ask some questions
to the text. (6 questions)
X. Итог урока.
Teacher: Our lesson is almost over. I
think that it was a very useful lesson for you and for me. We have discussed a
very important topic about sports and games.
We have understood that it’s very
important to go in for sports. If we want to keep fit we must go in for sports.
Thank you for your lovely work at the lesson. I am so pleased with your work.
