Should
a city try to preserve it
is
old historic buildings or replace them with modern buildings.
Are ancient buildings important?
What can ancient buildings tell us?
Should they be saved?
Relevance: Knowing
the past of your family and preserving the traditions of your ancestors is very
important for us, for the new generation. It is impossible to allow the

goal is to unite the efforts of the public and the state to study the
military-historical past of the country and preserve the national memory.

The
future stands on the Foundation of the past.
Without the past, there is no future. The sensuous,
living connection of generations is thinned by time and inevitably disappears
if there is no reliable evidence of a bygone era. History is a field of
knowledge, as well as the Humanities, which deals with the study of human
activities, worldview, relationships in the past. In world practice, the study
of history through the study of the past of individuals is gaining more and
more interest. To study the history of the people, society, without studying
the life of an individual is meaningless, because society consists of
individuals. The history of the country is written by the stories of ordinary
people with their family traditions, things. And the old house can tell about it
– the house in which no generation grew up, the house that saw both sorrows and
joys, the house that preserved it and told me. The old house, like a book, will
tell how people lived at that time, what they valued, what they tried to
surround themselves with, what they considered important.
"If a person does not like to look at old photos
of his parents at least occasionally, does not appreciate the memory of them...
in things that belonged to them, then he does not love them," said D. S.
Likhachev.
Streets, canals, individual houses remind and
unobtrusively enter the spiritual world of man, and man already enters the past
with an open soul. He learns respect for ancestors and remembers that in turn
it will be necessary for his descendants. He begins to learn
responsibility-moral responsibility to the people of the past and at the same
time to the people of the future.
The
history of my family.
The history of my family began in Rudnya. The
history of Rudnya is inseparable from the history of Smolensk region and all of
Russia. The place inhabited by our ancestors was not quiet. All the attacks of
the enemy on Smolensk, and then on Moscow, did not pass Rudnya.
Until the middle of the XIV century. these lands were
part of the Smolensk Principality. With the fall of Smolensk in 1404, Rudnya
found itself in the deep rear of the Polish-Lithuanian state. After 1514, when
Smolensk was liberated, Rudnya became a border city for a long time. According
to the Andrusov armistice of 1667, Smolensk was permanently ceded to Russia,
and Rudnya fell under the power of Poland. In the XVIII century. Rudnya-a place
of Babinovichi (since 1857 – Orsha) district of Mogilev province of the General
possession of Prince Oginsky, L. and F. Gudakovsky.
Several generations of my family lived in Rudnya and
in the Rudnyansky district. The family values history very much and our
grandmother often tells us interesting facts about the history of her native
land.
The
history of my town.
I live in the wonderful city of Smolensk. The
history of Smolensk is of interest not only to residents and visitors of this
city. It is marked by many events of national significance. The diamond capital
of Russia, the key-city, the hero city, spread out on 7 hills... When people
talk about Smolensk, they talk about the history of the whole of Russia,
because it is here that the destinies and paths of our Fatherland often
crossed. The center of Smolensk is very beautiful today. This city was able to
combine the spirit of antiquity and a bright dynamic atmosphere of modernity.
He lives a busy youth life today. There are trendy night clubs, many
universities and cinemas. In exotic tearooms, cozy coffee shops and noisy bars,
in squares flooded with sun, in green parks and shady corners, you can feel the
rhythm of the city, its pulsation and breath. Speaking of Smolensk and the
Smolensk region, it is impossible not to note the nature of nature reserves and
parks, the beauty of the mirror surface of lakes and green forests. Nature
lovers will be able to breathe in the forest air, visit the untouched corners
of nature that can be found in the Smolensk lake district-a national Park.
Changing over time, this city still managed to preserve the provincial charm,
ancient traditions and unique culture. The eclecticism of youth life and
ancient customs gives Smolensk an atmosphere of originality.
In the photo we can see the ancient Smolensk.
