Theme: At the Doctor’s

The aim of the lesson:

Educational: to teach pupils to speak about health, illness; to encourage to express their opinions. speaking about doctor’s work , talking about illness and their treatment giving advice, practicing conversations between a doctor and patient.

Developing: to develop pupils reading, writing, thinking and speaking skills. developing the responsibility for one’s health and persuade pupils that a sound mind can only be in a sound body.

Bringing – up: to create interest in studying English.

The type of the lesson: Mixed lesson.

The kind of the lesson: Demonstrative

Connections with other subjects: Kazakh, science medicine.

The methods: the round table, strategies of critical thinking; “diagram”, pair and group work, question - answer, dialogue.

The visual aids: an interactive board, textbooks, pictures, slides, posters.

Procedure of the Lesson

I. Organization moment. Greeting, talk with the duty. Asking the date, day, weather, checking absentees.

II. Phonetic drill.

IV. Checking up the homework.

Group work. Pupils are divided into three groups and must fill in the poster writing home remedies.

IX. Conclusion.

- Well, pupils today we have learnt words connected with the theme “Health”, so to be healthy what should you do?

- Get more fresh air.

- Take vitamins

- Do the sports

- Eat fruit and vegetables
