Тема «Sights of London»
Цель урока: ознакомление учащихся с новой
лексикой по теме «Достопримечательности» и ее употребления в речи.
Задачи:
- Практическая – научить понимать
печатный текст, научить монологическому высказыванию по теме «Top
Tourist Attractions»;
- Образовательная – ввести ЛГМ
по теме «Top Tourist Attractions», работать над расширением общей языковой
культуры выражения мыслей, над развитием памяти, воображения, логического
мышления; обобщение социокультурных знаний о стране изучаемого языка,
активизация лексических единиц, тренировка коммуникативных навыков,
совершенствование навыков монологической и диалогической речи.
- Воспитательная – воспитывать
чувство интернационализма, патриотизма; воспитывать умение слушать
собеседника; воспитывать интерес к культуре и традициям страны изучаемого
языка.
- Развивающая – работать над
развитием учебно-организационных навыков, умением работать над расширением
кругозора, развитием языковой интуиции, речевых навыков и умений,
способности к коллективной работе.

Westminster Abbey is a royal church (королевская церковь). It was built
by King Edward in 1065. The coronation of all British kings and queens takes
place(происходит) in
Westminster Abbey. Many
outstanding(выдающиеся) statesmen, scientists, writers, poets and
painters are buried (похоронены) here: Newton, Darwin, Chaucer, Dickens, and
Kipling. There is the Poet's Corner(поэтический уголок) in Westminster Abbey where there are a lot of monuments to the memory
of the great people such as William Shakespeare and Robert Burns.

The Tower of London is the oldest museum now. It was founded
in the 11th century(веке) by William the Conqueror(завоеватель). It was a fortress(крепость), a castle(замок), a
prison(тюрьма) and a zoo. There are always black ravens(вороны) in the Tower. People look after them
very well, as they believe that London will be rich as long as ravens live
there. The Tower is guarded (охраняется)
by Beefeaters.
