Цели урока:
-Образовательная: совершенствовать
лексические навыки, навыки чтения, аудирования, развивать умения в говорении;
-Практическая: научиться вести разговор о
путешествиях;
-Развивающая: развивать языковую догадку, фонематический
слух.
-Воспитательная: мотивировать к изучению
иностранного языка,
формировать
стремление к осознанию культурных ценностей
Оборудование: карточки с заданиями,
видеоматериалы, презентации, проектор, ноутбук.

Ход урока:
1. Орг.
момент: (переключение внимания на англ. яз.):
- Good morning. I am glad
to see you. How are you today?
Today we are going to
speak about ways how to spend your holidays and about travelling. The topic of
our lesson is ‘Holidays and travelling’
We are going to watch the
presentation about travelling to different interesting places, to read some
information about it, to do several exercises in groups, to sing a song about
travelling and at the end of the lesson, I hope you will be able to make an
advertisement devoted to one of these interesting places.
Warm-up:

Look
at the blackboard, please. You can see the following quotation here: ‘The world
is your oyster’.
Do you agree with it?
Why? Do you like to travel?

2. Проверка

At
home you have read the text ‘The world is your oyster’ (p. 90-91).
Tell
me, please, what is this text about? What interesting places are mentioned in
the text? (Siberia, Morocco, Wyoming, the Arctic Ocean).
Let’s
do Ex.1, p. 90. (look at the pictures, listen to the music. Which of the four
places are you at? What are you doing? How do you feel?)
Your hometask was to read
the text ‘The world is your oyster’ on pages 90-91. Let’s divide into 3 groups
and check.

Answers:

see famous landmarks; to have time to yourself; to buy souvenirs; to try the
local cuisine; to practice the language; to visit museums; to visit local

Now look at the

these words in groups.
i.e. While on holiday, I
enjoy visiting local markets.
3. Reading and listening.
(Ex.2, p. 90). Let’s listen to the text, then read and translate.

Post-reading:
Answer the questions from Ex. 3 (a) in groups.
4. Speaking

Let’s
make an advertisement of the interesting places to travel in groups. Look at
the blackboard, please. You can see an example here. The captain of each team
will present this advertisement to the class.
