Класс:IX
Цель: формирование
языковых, грамматических, компенсаторных, общеучебных умений и универсальных
способов деятельности в процессе обучения по данной теме.
Задачи:
Образовательные:
Провести обсуждение о роли политики и политических лидеров; практиковать
речь учащихся с новой тематической лексикой, а также с употреблением вместо слова
a lot других слов a large number of, a great/ good deal of, plenty
of , cинонимов и закрепить их в устной речи, применяя структуры
Кэгэн; практиковать аргументированное рассуждение; повторить слова и
познакомиться с новой лексикой в процессе дискуссии; тренировать правильность
произношения английских звуков и слов.
Развивающие:
развивать навыки умственного труда и познавательной активности, и
мотивационной основы в процессе обучения иностранному языку; развивать навыки
просмотрового чтения и чтения с пониманием, развивать умение выделять
основную мысль текста, главные факты, опуская второстепенное, научить оценивать
прочитанное; практика устной речи на основе текста .
Воспитательные:
развивать речемыслительную культуру учащихся; создать условия на уроке для
развития лучших человеческих качеств, культуры общения; воспитывать интерес
и уважение к известным политикам мира. Развить в школьниках сострадание и
соучастие к жертвам терроризма. Вызвать отрицание терроризма как явления. Учить
выявлять причины появления данного явления. Привести к осознанию важности
собственного участия в вопросах безопасности страны и собственной безопасности.
Добиваться овладения навыками критического мышления , чтобы учащиеся могли в
будущем служить своему обществу.
Тип урока:
урок комплексного применения знаний и способов деятельности учащихся.
Оборудование: текст,
компьютер, интерактивная доска, раздаточный материал.
Формы работы:
групповая, парная и индивидуальная.
План
I.Организационный
момент. Who is on duty?
What’s
the weather like today? What’s the political situation in the world? The
weather is rather cold today and the situation in the world is cold , too. (
As for domestic policy , V. Putin set out the plans of the home policy in
economics ,education, science, however, there is a serious political issue
which can’t be solved without participation of the USA and other countries. It
is terrorism)

-What’s
the song about? ( the world , the peace,. It encourages people to make the
world better place for living, brighter, for peaceful air and place ).
-What does the author campaign against?( sorrow,
crying, trouble)
-What’s the lesson going to be about? ( People and
society)

During the previous lessons we learnt topical vocabulary and read the text “The
cold war and beyond” .And today we are going to continue our work and we will
discuss the political situation in the world. For this let’s learn some
Vocabulary.

Ex.42 Answer the questions to the text “ the cold
war and Beyond”.
Structure “Fan-and -Pick”:P1- holds cards and says
“Pick a card”, P2-picks a card and reads aloud, P3-answers,P4- checks and
praises or corrects.
Answers:
-1) Reforms: All republics became independent as
Soviet Union broke up and they got rid of their Communist Governments. G.
introduced many political and economic changes G. twice met on superpower
summits with the USA and a new atmosphere of cooperation between the USA and
Russia was emerging, 2) Russia had deep-rooted problems and was close to
collapse and corruption was flourishing and the country needed reforms badly .
Positive sides: he introduced 2 policies: glasnost (openness) and perestroika(
restructuring). Our economy is becoming stronger.Negative effects of
perestroika: there appeared 3 levels of the population: the rich,the the
middle, the poorest.
3) and
G. offered dramatic cuts to nuclear power and they signed a treaty.It meant the
peaceful process in the world began.
4) Cold war is when all countries ignore your country
and superstates give your country sunctions.In 1990 34 countries signed the
Charter of Paris for a new Europe. The cold war came to an official end.
5) In
1988 Soviet troops were removed from Afganistan. Communist countries of Eastern
Europe got much greater autonomy.
6) Two Germanies reunited in 1989 as a result of the
decision to open the border between East and West Germany made by G..
7) Many people had to move from one country to
another.
8) European Union is the international
intergovernmental and supranational union of about 30 countries. The EU’s
activities cover all areas of public policy, from health and economic policy to
foreign affairs and defence. But Russia hasn’t joined it yet.(

-Do you know the main activities of the UNO? Who is
the Secretary General at the moment? ( Ban-ki- Moon)- показ

- Look at the poster of Beslan terrorist attack with a
slogan, translate it.We can witness terrorism with its horrifying face in all
corners of our planet.
VI.Физкультминутка
для глаз.: 1)Sit straight.
Look
up, down, right, left.2) Turn your eyes slowly to the right, down, left
forming a circle- turn your eyes around. Start again to the opposite side
.Do
3-5 times.
VII.Самостоятельное
применение приобретенных знаний ( проблемные задания) .
T: Nowadays all people are
witnessing the international tension. We have to live with terrorism around us
and face the fear of terrorist attacks.
Ex.52 –1) On the road to
peace. ( Rally Robin).Is his method of working for peace effective or not? Give
your opinion. Use: To my mind, I suppose, I believe…)
2) There are some ideas how people can help to keep
peace. Choose 4 the most effective. Why have you chosen them? Work in groups.
Ex. 53Task 1: Read what some British teens feel
about the current terrorist situation and tell your opinion.
Task2: What should be
done to prevent terrorism?( Use vocabulary on page 95)

you’ve learnt; 2- answer my 2 questions : 1)Who is the most famous politician
of Russia? 2) Which country wants to leave EU?/ What should be done to prevent
