a)    He was a writer, one of the founders of  Kazakh Soviet literature. He wrote novels, stories, text-books. The most  famous of  his works is the novel “ Abay ”.  ( M. Auezov )

b)    He was a great historian, publicist, linguist, geographer and traveler. He graduated from the Omsk Military college in 1853. He made research and recorder national traditions, customs, religion and language. ( T. Valikhanov )

c)     He was a great poet, a founder of Kazakh Literature. He translated works of Pushkin, Lermontov, Tolstoy from Russia into Kazakh. The most of his works is “ Words of Education”.
