Mrs Phelps helps Matilda with books.

Matilda was a very tiny, but clever young girl. She was something to make everyone’s eyes pop. Matilda’s parents called her a noisy chatterbox and her father refused to buy her any book. After that, Matilda went to the library and got acquainted with a librarian, who watched her with fascination because that little girl devoured one book after another. When Matilda had read all the children’s books, she asked Mrs Phelps for a book that gown-ups read. Mrs Phelps looked along the shelves, taking her time. She didn’t know what to choose. At first Mrs Phelps wanted to give Matilda a romance, but for some reason she changed her mind. The librarian gave Matilda “Great Expectations” by Charles dickens. Over the next afternoons Matilda sat reading in big armchair with a book on her lap. She was totally absorbed in the wonderful adventures and the spell of magic that the great storyteller had created with his words. Every book impressed the girl very much!

(Приложение 2) All the necessary words are given there, you’re just to choose the most proper ones. Let’s describe two other girls using the same table. Please use as many adjectives as possible. Great! Please open your books on page 187 exercise 40. You are to change the underlined parts of the sentence using your new vocabulary from exercise 35 and 36.
