Цели урока:
cоциокультурный
аспект – знакомство с информацией о британской
школе через видеофильм, с понятиями и реалиями: a boarding school,
GCSE examination,
'A'
level examination ;
развивающий аспект
– развитие способности воспринимать аудио/ видео информацию, развитие
способности к анализу. Сравнению, осуществлению репродуктивных и продуктивных
речевых действий;
воспитательный аспект
– формирование положительного отношения к фактам иноязычной культуры,
способности понимать и уважать образ жизни людей другой культуры;
учебный аспект
– развитие умения понимать на слух с целью извлечения кнкретной и детальной
информации, формирование лексических навыков говорения.
Оборудование: учебник
английского языка для 9 класса авторы В.П. Кузовлев, н.М.
Лапа и др, компьютер, мультимедийное оборудование, видеофильм
«Школы в Британии» ESL video.
Ход
урока.
1. Приветственное
слово учителя. Организационный момент.
Teacher: Good morning, my
dear friends! How are you today? I am very glad to see you here at our lesson
which is devoted to the topic “What school do you go to?” The aim of our lesson is to sum
the material about
British schools up
and
be ready to speak about schools in that country.
Today we are going to watch a film about schools in
Britain but before it let’s review the words from our list.
2.
Активизация лексики по теме.

Take
your books and open p.95. Read the words in pairs to each other.
-
Now
let’s work with the text and read and translate the sentences with bold words
in order to recollect the information about British schools.

And
the next task is checking the sentences with gaps according to the text. Ex1(2)
p.95
3.
Подготовка к просмотру видеофильма.
Teacher: Before watching
the film, look here at some words at the board. (слова, которые
могут вызвать трудность выписаны, на доску и объяснены учащимся перед
просмотром)

Teacher: After watching,
you are going to do some tasks, that’s why be very attentive and try to
remember as much as possible.
First
of all pay attention to these numbers. What information do they stand for?
4. Просмотр
видеосюжета.
Now we are ready to start. Учащиеся
начинают
смотреть
фильм.
Сюжет
начинается
с
вопросов,
которые
адресованы
зрителю:
«Do you go to school on Saturdays?, Do you wear a uniform?, Do you like
school?». Сразу делаю паузу и прошу ребят ответить
на эти вопросы.
5. Работа
по заданиям после просмотра фильма.
Task 1. What do these numbers stand for?
At
11 students go to a secondary school.
30%
of students leave school at the age of sixteen. 20% - go to universities.
School
starts at 9 am.
There
are usually about 22 students in a secondary school class.
In
Britain 92% of schools are state schools which are free.
Task 2. True/ false statement. Put ‘T’ if
the statement is true, ‘F’ if it is wrong. (Задание
на
карточках,
работают
индивидуально)
Students
go to secondary school at the age of 12.
50
% of British students leave school at 16.
The
most popular foreign language to study is German.
All
students go home for lunch.
They
do different after-school activities.
Students
wear a uniform in all schools.
Parents
have to pay for their children’s education.
Task 3. Answer the questions.
At
what age do British children go to school?
What
exams do they take?
When
do the lessons begin?
How
many students are there in the primary school class?
What
foreign languages do they usually study? What other classes do
they have?
What
do students usually do after classes?
How
many independent schools are there in Britain?

6. Повторный
просмотр видеосюжета.
Teacher:
Watch the film for the second time; be ready to tell about British schools. In
the end of the film as you have seen British children express their opinions.
Write down their ideas.
So first, somebody will tell us what he or she have
learnt.
Example.
In Britain 92% of schools are state so they are free, 8% are private schools
where parents pay for education. British children go to school at the age of 5.
At 11 students go to a secondary school. They stay at school until they are 16
and 30 % of them leave school. Others study at school for two more years. And
20% of students go to a university. In most schools children start their day at
9 am and they go to school from Monday to Friday. There are about 22 students
in a secondary school class and about 27 in a primary school class. Students
study different subjects such as Math, History, Art, Geography, Science,
Religion, foreign languages. Popular languages are French, Spanish, Italian.
During the break students can go home or eat in a canteen. After classes at 4
o’clock they take part in different activities.
7. Составление
мини-диалогов в паре, используя ответы британских детей о
школе и восстанавливая вопросы, которые им могли быть заданы.
Teacher: Now you have some
minutes to think it over and make up a short dialogue about what you like and
dislike at school.
Example.
P1: Hello.
P2: Hello.
P1: What are your
favourite subjects at school?
P2: As for me, I
like PE and History. And what do you think about homework?
P1: I hate
homework but I like having lunch in our school canteen. And you?
P2: Actually, I
don’t like food at school. I prefer eating at home.
P1: Thank you,
bye.
P2: Bye-bye.
8. Заключительный
этап. Рефлексия. Подведение итогов урока.
Teacher: Now I’m sure you
will remember everything we’ve learnt today. Thank you for your participation and
creative abilities. Did
you like our lesson? Why? What marks can you give to each other?
Thank you very much for your work, I am satisfied with
it completely.
The lesson is over. Good bye.
