B) That’s right! Aims of the lesson: So, today we will learn how to ask and answer the question “How many…?” during the lesson you will get a chance to check your knowledge of the topic and gain the experience of speaking in front of the class using your vocabulary (Slide 5)

How many is used with countable nouns (countable nouns are nouns which can be counted in numbers). For example: one house/two houses

How much is used with uncountable nouns (countable nouns are nouns which can’t be counted in numbers). For example: information

Task 1 - Now, try to make the same dialogue. Group work. I give you one minute to prepare to make a dialogue. Please!

Omar: Hi, Colin

Colin: Hi! How are you?

Omar: Fine. How many boys are there in your class?

Colin: Let me see. Yes, there are 13 boys and only 7 girls in my class.

Omar: Are there any boys or girls from Kazakhstan?

Colin: No, there aren’t any. But there are some boys and girls from India and Japan.
