английскому языку в 8Б классе по теме «The World of Shopping»

Тема: «Мир покупок».

Тип урока: комбинированный.

Цель урока: семантизация новых лексических единиц, автоматизация использования в речи ранее изученных лексических единиц, формирование и совершенствование навыков диалогической речи по теме «Покупки».

Задачи урока:

  • Образовательные:

    • формирование умения вести диалог по теме;

    • развитие у учащихся навыков ayдирования;

    • развитие умений учащихся оперировать известными понятиями,
      составлять высказывания с помощью опор;

    • контроль усвоения изученной темы.

  • Развивающие:

    • формирование способности и готовности вступать в иноязычное общение;

    • развитие различных видов памяти (вербальной, образной), внимания, коммуникативности, воображения;

    • развитие мыслительной деятельности, умения переноса знаний в новую ситуацию;

    • развитие языковой догадки.

  • Воспитательные:

    • показать значимость умения решать коммуникативные задачи через диалог;

    • расширение кругозора, творческих способностей учащихся;

    • воспитание коммуникативной компетентности учащихся.

Оборудование: компьютер, проектор, карточки с тренировочными и проверочными заданиями.

ХОД УРОКА

I. Оргмомент

T: Good morning. Glad to see you. You look great. How are you today? …

I’m glad that everything is OK with you. Let me begin our lesson with some riddles. If you guess them, you will know what we are going to speak about. Listen to me and think, please.


II. Определение темы урока учащимися по проблемному заданию, ознакомление учащихся с целями и задачами урока

  • Usually two or more people take part in this process.

  • We do it in a special place.

  • We do it very often.

  • Usually women like to do it, men don’t like this activity.

  • We can’t do it without money.

T: What is it? 
P: Shopping
T: Yes, right you are. We are going tо speak about shopping and diffеrent kinds of shops. We`ll revise types of the shops, learn the meaning of new words, make up and act dialogues, see a video film and do the task on it. So, we have a lot of work to do. Let’s start.

T: Well, now we are going to revise words and word combinations that we studied at the previous lessons and name different types of shops. Please, complete the explanation with the right words:

  • pharmacy a shop or a part of a shop where medicines are prepared and sold

  • butcher shop a shop in which you can buy meat, poultry and sometimes fish

  • florist's a shop that sells flowers and plants

  • fishmonger's a shop that sells fish

  • bookshop a shop in which newspapers, magazines, calendars etc. are sold

  • greengrocer's a shop that sells fruit and vegetables

  • gift shop a shop that sells goods which are suitable for giving as a present

  • pet shop a shop where pet animals can be purchased

  • jewelry store a shop in which gold and silver fineries are sold

  • bakery a place where bread, cookies and other baked food are sold


T.: Well, very good. On your desks you’ve got some tasks. Now take Card 1 and do the task. You are to make up words from the given letters and give the right name of the shop. You have 3 minutes to do the task.

IV. Введение новой лексики 

T.: We’ve already learnt different types of shops. But there are a lot of words and word combinations that you certainly will need while shopping or speaking on shopping. And now I want you to look at the screen and try to guess the meaning of the new words. I will read the explanation of a new word and you must name a picture with the right answer.


  • Changing room / Fitting room - a room in which you can put on clothes before buying them

  • Price tag - a piece of paper with a price

  • Receipt - a bill

  • Refund - an amount of money that is returned to you when you are not happy with a product or service that you have bought

  • Size - how large or small something is

  • Shopper - someone buying things at a store

  • Discount store - a shop in which goods are sold at cheap prices

  • Shopping list - a list of all the things that you want to buy when you go shopping

  • Checkout - the place in a store where you pay for your goods

  • Try on - putting clothes on to find out whether they fit

  • Exchange - change one thing for another

  • Afford - if you have enough money to buy something and you are able to afford it

  • Suit - to be fitted to, to befit



V. Формирование навыков диалогической речи


T.: Well done, I’m very pleased with your work. We have already learnt a lot about shops. Now I invite you to go shopping. All of you have cards 2 on your desks. Now I want you to work in pairs. You have dialogues. But all sentences in the dialogues are mixed. You are to put them in the right order and act out these dialogues afterwords. All the dialogues take place at different shops. So, you have 5 minutes to do the task.


1.At the shoe shop


TASK

That's fine. I'll take them please.

Forty euros, madam.

Could I try them on in a 5 1/2 please?

Of course. Here you are.

How about these? They're very comfortable.

I'll just see if we have them in a 6.....Yes, here we are. How's that?
