  Meet Our Team!
  We live in Voronezh. It’s a very nice city with an old history and more than 1 million citizens. We are the 7-th and 8-th formers of Andrey Platonov Grammar School. It was named after a famous Russian writer and poet.
  
  
  
  Our school is young, it was founded in 1999. There are a lot of big and bright classrooms, a well equipped gym, a huge canteen, where we can eat tasty food.
  The computer classrooms, the art classroom, our library and even the school museum are always opened, keeping all historical and cultural heritage items in order. There is an anti-stress hall in our gymnasium. There are a lot of flowers, birds, a turtle and even a snake there.

  Hi! I’m Danila Semechev. I’m 14. I’m fond of playing table-tennis, chess and the piano. I learn English and Spanish, read a lot of books in the original. I took part in many contests, such as British Bulldog, Gold Rune. I’ve successfully passed Cambridge ESOL exam.
  I’ve made up my mind to become a computer programmer. The international computer language is English. One of my favorite programming languages is Pascal which uses codes only in English. That’s why I believe a strong competence in English is very necessary for me.

  Hello! My name is Nikita Bakhtin. I am the 7th former. I love learning foreign languages especially English. The level of my English is B1. I improve it every day. I read English books, listen to English music and sometimes watch English news. I also like doing sports. I go in for rowing, playing football and basketball. I ski and play hockey in winter. I think English will help me with my sport career. I will go to other countries to take part in sport competitions and I’ll have to speak English.

  My name is Viktoria Pavlova. I like learning languages, drawing and playing tennis. 2 years ago I was the finalist of the Russian Art competition «The Space Seen by Young People» and the winner of the Voronezh Art competition.

  English and our career
  English can be the most useful for people, who deal with business. Though there are special courses for studying “business English”. When employers found new workers for their companies, they fundamentally look to your basic skills, but if you speak English, you will have more chances to be adopted for a work, because globalization of economic, development of international connection, necessity to speak with foreign partners cause owners of major companies found people, who know English well, because they can help develop these companies and get a lot of profit.
  Everybody knows that English language is international. It has studied by people all over the world. Most of them studied it at school, but someone does it later. Also everyone has a common opinion that English can help you in your career. Nowadays almost all professions are call for English. To be able to speak English is very important for them. For example, pilots and dispatchers have to pass a multilevel exam in English.

  English and our career
  English can be needed by marketers and lawyers, because they
  formalize important official documents and they must be very professional in them. Only one mistake can cause a serious problem. Also speaking English is unchanged for IT-specialists. If they don’t know English, they won’t read the instruction for new equipment, because most of them are published in English and different IT-codes are programmed in English, too.
  Guides must freely speak English too, because they often contact with foreign citizens and they must speak English correctly to simply understand their clients.

If you know a foreign language you can read books in the original, and it is a way to better understanding of other people's nature and culture.
  English is the most commonly used language among foreign language speakers. Throughout the world, when people with different languages come together they commonly use English to communicate.
  English is the language of science.
  English speakers earn more money than non-English speakers. Learning English will open your job prospects and increase your standard of living.
  Foreign languages are absolutely necessary for people nowadays because of our growing international contacts with foreign countries. Some people learn languages because they travel abroad.

  There’s a very good tradition in our school in practicing English. We often invite volunteers from different countries. They tell us about nature, culture and traditions of their countries. Last week a Brazilian came to our school. We could communicate only in English and it was great!The meeting was amazing! As a result some of my friends decided to become volunteers in future.
