Main and First streets The main street of the city - Pervostroiteley Avenue - starts from the Pervostroiteley Monument. At first it was called Red prospect, then the Amur street . In 1974 the street was renamed into Pervostroiteley Avenue. The first street started from the embankment Amur. It was named in honor of Sergei Kirov. Street ran through the first area of the city, formerly known as Round. In 1948 the statue of Kirov was set and since then the square and the street have carried his name.
Memorial places On May 10, 1932 the first Komsomol members, the builders of the city landed. The monument was opened June 8, 1967.It was built on the money of Komsomol workers. Opening of the monument took place on June 9, 1982 during the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Komsomolsk-on-Amur The memorial complex on the bank of the Amur was opened on the days of the celebration of 40th anniversary of the city
