“Adjectives”
The aims:
Educational: -Consolidation of
the grammar: Degrees of comparison;
-to work with texts;
-to find opposite adjectives;
-to complete sentences using
comparative and superlative
adjectives;
-to complete the table.
Developing: to develop reading,
speaking, writing skills and logical thinking.
Upbringing: arouse pupils’
interest in learning English
Equipment: papers with tasks,
projector, posters

procedure of the lesson:
I. Organization moment
-greeting Good
afternoon, students! I'm glad to see you. We have an unusual lesson today. Many
guests are visiting our lesson. Dear guests, we are glad to welcome you to our
English lesson. (Добрый день, дети! Я рада вас
видеть. У нас сегодня необычный урок. У нас на уроке много гостей. Дорогие
гости, добро пожаловать на наш урок.)

First of all I
have some questions for you:

What are adjectives?

What questions do they
answer?

And now I will show
you adjectives and you will translate them.
I want to divide you into three
groups. Please take the cards with the pictures and student who has picture
with sun will work in group 1, student who has picture with rain will work in
group 2, student who has picture with rainbow will work in group 3. Now you
may take your seats and lets start our lesson.

1st group “SUN”:

I have a very
good friend. Her name is Kate. She is one of the best pupils in our class. My
friend is tall and beautiful girl. She likes to read. She tells a lot of
interesting stories. We go for a walk, watch films, go to the shops and play
computer games together. She is good at Physical Education. She runs faster than
other pupils. I love her very much.
Do the following tasks:
1) name the topic
2) find 7 adjectives
3) find out the English
equivalents from the text: “Она бегает быстрее чем другие ученики.”
4) find out the verbs from this
sentence: “We go for a walk, watch films, go to the shops and play computer
games together.”
2nd group “RAIN”:

It is a grey rabbit. Its name is
Bunny. It likes its name. It lives in forest. It is five. Bunny is not big but
it is strong and brave. Bunny is nice and funny. It can run and jump but it
can’t swim and skate. It likes to play with nice ducks and chickens . It likes
to eat cabbage and carrot.
Do the following tasks:
1) name the topic
2) find 7 adjectives
3) find out the English
equivalents from the text: “Банни не большой но сильный и
храбрый.”
4) find out the verbs from this
sentence: “It can run and jump but it can’t swim and skate.”
3rd group “RAINBOW”:

Hello! I am in Paris now.
I like it very much. It is big and very interesting. I did some shopping on the
weekend but it is very expensive here. There are a lot of parks. They are very
beautiful. Yesterday we visited a lot of galleries and old museums. The weather
is good. It is warm enough to spend the whole day outside. I wish you were
here. Bye!

check yourselves.
V stage
1.Complete the sentences using
comparative adjectives:

VI. Reflection of the
lesson.
Students, you can see the
poster on the blackboard. There is a stairs on it. There are 3 steps on the
stairs: it was difficult and boring, it was difficult but interesting, it was
not difficult and interesting. You have markers and you will go and put a tick
on that step witch you think you are.
