I want you and our guests to have a great mood at our
lesson today. For this purpose we greet each other and our guests with our
favourite poem.
Look at each other and smile; we begin our lesson.

To learn foreign languages is great and fascinating,
isn't it?! The knowledge of any foreign languages help people to communicate,
to read literature in the original, to take part in the international
competitions.

On your tables you can see blue and yellow smiles. If
after our lesson you want to study the second foreign language, show a blue
smile. If you consider that you will be able to learn the second foreign
language, show a yellow smile.
I am glad that most of pupils have shown a blue smile
because next school year we’ll learn the second foreign language – German.
