Wonderful inventions have
been made in science and technology
recently .They are
changing the lifestyle of millions of people all over the world.
Today we are going to speak about some bits of technology, about their benefits
and disadvantages.

4. Teacher: You see
today we have some quests. They are from the 18 th century, they can travel in
time and have come to our lesson. They don’t have any of the gadgets we are
talking about, so you should tell them everything you know about these
household equipments. May be some of them will buy something for their houses.
I want you to be our quests (18th
century)
The rest of you are from the
21st century.
So I want you to explain
everything they are eager to know.
Teacher: Look here…,

T: Dear friends! Will you tell
us anything about yourselves? What are you? What are you busy with? Have you
got any problems in your everyday life?
P1 :( He is a landlord. He
lives far away from his friends. He needs а car to visit
his friends and also a phone to keep in touch with them.)
P2 :( She is a princess. She is
not very busy. She needs something to entertain herself.)
P3 :( He is a scientist. He
needs some gadgets for his work in the laboratory.)
P4: (She is a housewife who has
4 children. She has a lot of work to do about the house.)

T: Thank you! So you see there
are some devises we can hardly do without.

technology will save the world and make it better, some other think that
technology will ruin the society, because we are too dependent on electric and
electronic gadgets and machines. Let’s listen to the text and then speak about
their disadvantages and benefits.
