Тема:  Christmas is in the air

Цель:     - способствовать формированию позитивного мышления

Задачи:

Обучающие:

-Организовать повторение лексического и страноведческого материала по данной теме.

-Учить учащихся правильно строить предложения на английском языке по теме, организовать практику устной речи на английском языке.

-Познакомить учащихся с некоторыми традициями и обычаями празднования Рождества в Великобритании.

-Способствовать формированию у учащихся навыков социолингвистической и лингвострановедческой компетенций.

Развивающие:

-Развивать творческую фантазию, познавательный интерес, инициативу в осуществлении иноязычной речевой деятельности.

-Развивать межпредметную связь с музыкой, изобразительным искусством.

Воспитательные:

-Воспитывать у учащихся чувство прекрасного и уважение к культуре и традициям других народов.

-Воспитывать чувство взаимной ответственности, прививать навыки работы в коллективе.

Оборудование: Раздаточный материал: конфеты, заготовки рождественских открыток. Карточки с заданиями, карточки со словами-опорами, общее панно «рождественская ель», аудиозапись песни «Jingle Bells», презентация к уроку, рождественский постер, приготовленный учениками, рождественская атрибутика

1.                              Организационный момент

Good afternoon, dear children and teachers! We are very glad to see you today at our party. We would like to celebrate Christmas and new year with you together.  I congratulate you on this wonderful holiday and I wish you Merry Christmas!

I hope you’ll enjoy our Christmas party and be friendly to each other. I wish you good luck! So it’s time to start our Christmas party.

Let’s sing one of the most wonderfull and famous English song “Jingle Bells’ ( 3 )to feel the atmosphere of this wonderful holiday.

There are 31 days in December. On the 25^th of December there is the greatest holiday of all in England – Christmas . People give each other presents and send Christmas cards. Presents for children are in their stockings.

The traditional English dinner on Christmas Day is roast turkey and Christmas pudding.

The Queen’s speech is on television at 3.00 p.m.

During Christmas in Trafalgar Square there is a Christmas tree.

Teacher : But soon after Christmas comes New Year. Let’s listen the information about new year.

Not all people celebrate New Year. Those who do celebrate it on the 31^st of December. It’s fun to see the New Year in. The party usually begins at eight o’clock in the evening. At twelve o’clock, they have a toast to the New Year. The party goes on till early morning.There is a lot of dancing, eating and drinking.

 There is an interesting New Year tradition: in Scotland, you can go “first footing”. That is – you visit friends, so you are the “first foot” of the New Year in their houses. In Scotland, the first visitor who comes into a house on New Year’ morning is “the First Foot”.

The Scots believe that the First Foot brings luck to the family for the New Year. In Scotland the First Foot must be a man (or a boy), not a woman! And he must have dark hair.

teacher: Children , look, there is Christmas  Tree.  You know Santa will give us his presents if our Christmas tree is  decorated. Let’s decorate it right now.

I’m sure now you know a lot about Christmas and New Year. One of the traditions is writing postcards to your relatives, to your friends. Let’s write a postcard. I’ve got some nice poems and wishes! Choose any and here are pencils and pens for you! You can write to your mum or dad or anyone!
