  I am a ninth – former and I believe its high time to start thinking about my future seriously. It is not an easy task to make the right career choice. Uncountable times I have been asked what I want to be when I leave school. A few years ago it was difficult for me to give the answer. When a child I wanted to become a dancer as I was found of dancing and dreamt of becoming famous. Now I have made my choice and I’m sure my decision is correct.
  Actually, I enjoy reading and writing compositions, I like to express my opinion on different points, perhaps, that is why I began to dream of becoming a journalist.

  This professions roots in the far past. Since ancient times people have been recording the events they witnessed. Archeologists date the fist manuscripts to ancient Egypt, Rome and Greece. Journalists of the Renaissance wrote about different events, wars, conflicts and even gossips about kings, royal families and the court.

  Moreover, a journalist must be honest and devoted to his profession. His sense of responsibility must be highly developed.
  Self – control and patience should be a specific characteristic of any journalist.
  Besides, one needs much knowledge, intuition and of course great skill.
  I would like to develop all these qualities in my character.

  At the same time, this profession may be dangerous. Journalists who investigate different cares are, as rule, not protected. Their work is related to risks and even threat to health and life. A journalist’s investigation is a long, hard, very complex and full of dangers. That is why, the work of a journalist is so significant and valuable. Such investigations often result in criminal and political processes.
  So I should be ready for this too.

  Most of all I admire the courage and professionalism of Margarita Simonyan. This young woman led reports from Beslan, talking about the school occupied by terrorists.
  
  Almost under the terrorists’ bullets she reported and denounced to the world the truth about the captured hostages.

  Without any doubt, I possess some necessary qualities for becoming a representative of this profession and if I lack some, I will develop them.
