Theatre is a place where people
go to watch plays, ballets, dramas, tragedies, etc. The people who watch the
performance are the spectators. There's a cloak room for their coats and bags.
The actors have a dressing room.
A theatre-goer goes to the
theatre. He or she watches a play, a ballet, an opera, or a musical. A talented
actor, a dancer, a ballet dancer, a singer, etc., performs on a stage
in front of the audience. The first row of seats is the
front row. Sometimes the tickets are expensive. You can buy them at the
ticket office or book them online.
My friend Tom works in a theatre.
He isn't an actor or a dancer. He's a make-up man. He puts makeup on the
actors. It's difficult (трудно) because he makes them look old, young, sad,
happy, etc. He loves his job because he likes working with the actors. Some of
them are famous and very successful.
