you pupils? Did you like the projects of your classmates? Whose presentation
did you enjoy best of all? Why?
I
completely agree with you. You prepared very interesting presentations. You
are on the top of this job.
I
know pupils that at the previous lessons you learned the places of interest
of London. Can you recognize them in the pictures? Look at the screen and
name the sights of London.
That’s
incredible. You know all the names of the sights and how they look. Do you
want to know detailed information about some of them? I offer you to take a
trip to four places of interest.
Well,
for this job you should divide into three groups. Take the cards with the
texts. Your task is to read the texts and match the titles with the texts.
There are four texts and five titles. It means that one title is odd. Read
the text one by one and help each other to find the right answer.

As for the next
trip you will listen to my assistant Naomi. She will show and tell you about
top 10 attractions (sights) of London.
You will watch
the video twice. After the first watching the first group of pupils name the
10th, the 9th and the 8th top sights. The
second group name the 7th, the 6th, and the 5th
sights. The third group tell the names of the 4th, the 3rd
and the 2nd sights. And the 1st top sight we’ll name
all together.
Now tell the
names of the sights you’ve watched and listened about.
Before watching
the video for the second time listen to the task. On the cards for listening
there are five sentences with missing words. These words you can see in the
box. Watch and listen to Naomi attentively and fill in the gaps with the
right words. I give you 15 seconds for preparing.
Now let’s check
your answers. Look at the screen and compare your answers with the right
ones. Put the mark for this job. If you have 5 right answers your mark is
“5”. If you’ve given 4 right answers put yourselves a “4” and so on.
What good
listeners you are! Nothing can stop you.
Now pupils let’s
have a little rest. I’d like to invite you to walk along London Bridge, sing
the song and do some physical exercises.

are the cards with the formulas of three Tenses on the
blackboard. But they are mixed. Put the cards on the blackboard in the right

first group your Tense is the Past Simple.
The
second group your Tense is the Past Progressive and the third group you will
work with the Present Perfect. As well you can see the cards with words and
phrases of these Tenses.

them in the sentences.

these sentences in the negative form.

This place has a long history. It was the Chinese gardens in Britain. Now it

This place is a very old building in London. It is nine hundred years old. It
stands on the Thames. In the early days of the history of England the English
kings lived here. Then it was a prison where many people died and the ravens
ate them. The black ravens live in its gardens now. The English people like
them very much. A man looks after the ravens and gives them meat in the
morning and in the evening. Here you can meet the famous Beefeaters in their
traditional uniform. Now this place is a museum and many people from other
countries come to see it.
