Внеклассное мероприятие по английскому языку для 5-6 классов “We study English”

Цели: развивать мотивацию к учению, образованию как основе успешной профессиональной деятельности, способствовать осознанию возможностей самореализации средствами иностранного языка, пробудить и поддержать интерес к изучению английского языка, пополнить словарный запас детей, развивать навыки говорения и аудирования, языковые способности учащихся; воспитывать внимательное отношение друг к другу, дух товарищества и взаимовыручки, побудить детей к научно-исследовательской деятельности.

Teacher: Match, please, the proverbs with their meanings (Дети соединяют пословицы с их значениями и проговаривают).
Pupil 1 : Dear boys and girls! Dear our guests! Dear teachers! We’re going to share our joy and delight today! We have been learning English for 2 and a half, for 1, and for three years in this team. (Дети занимаются дополнительно, на курсах английского языка). We have become part and parcel of it!

Pupil 2: A crazy language! But we love it very much! You see, we can sing English songs, we can read English books. For example, now we are reading “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” by Lewis Carroll.
Pupil 3: We have learnt that Alice is a clever little girl who loves adventures. She likes to learn new things, and she enjoys meeting new people. Alice loves animals. She hates rude people. She is very kind and cares about other people.
Pupil 4: Now we know more about English Grammar! Plurals! Tenses of the Verb! Regular and irregular verbs! Adverbs! Prepositions! Degrees of comparisons!
Teacher: Do you know a lot? Check! Listen and write!

Pupil 5: I know a lot about adjectives and their degrees of comparisons! F.e. the White Rabbit is a very nervous animal. He is always late. He is scared of the Duchess. He’s quite bossy to people who are smaller than him, but he is afraid of people who bigger than him!
Teacher: Let’s have a competition between two groups of us. Divide into two teams. Take turns to make up sentences using comparative adjectives. Who will make up more?
(Дети по очереди составляют предложения со сравнительной степенью прилагательных. Темы не ограничены. Но скорее всего дети составят предложения по темам «Мои вещи», «Путешествия» и «Хобби».)
После конкурса дети дают оценку своей работе.
Оценочные фразы:
- All of us were great (cool, perfect)
- We have worked well, but our competitors were better
- We have done it very well!
- Maybe we can be better next time.
- We have worked and we have had a lot of fun.
(Dasha) – was the best. Можно дать оценку хором: It’s not whether you win or lose that matters, it’s how you play the game.
Teacher: Competitions are our favourite activities. We compete all the time in different tasks.
Teacher: Who will say more rhymes?
Each team choose one person to take part in this activity. (Детям было дано задание повторить ранее выученные стихи)
Teacher: The rest of the group can support our participators. And, please, act out! (Учитель может дать оценку сам этому соревнованию и спросить детей: Do you agree with me?)
Pupil 5: Another activity we like very much is dramatization or Drama. The main characters of our plays this year are Lock and Key.

Pupil 7: We can do a lot. But we will be able to do more! Rome was not built in a day. Live and learn! We are trying to improve our knowledge, our imagination; to expand our range of interests.
Pupil 8: Reading gives us a new horizon. We read in Russian. We read in English. Maybe, in future we will be able to read in Spanish or German. All of us have their own favourite books. (Дети по желанию рассказывают о своих любимых книгах.)
Teacher: We don’t make a secret of the fact that sometimes we have some problems. But in spite of them we go ahead!
