Present Perfect Continuous. I have been doing

Время Present Perfect Continuous используется для описания действия в процессе, которое происходило и продолжает происходить (либо завершилось только что).

Ключи к пониманию времени Present Perfect Continuous:
1. Действие находится в процессе (отсюда связь с группой Continuous).
2. Процесс начался в прошлом и продолжается до настоящего (отсюда связь с группой Perfect)

Примеры.

He has been playing football all day. — Он играет в футбол целый день.
I’ve been waiting for you for two hours. —
Я жду тебя уже два часа.

Отличие Present Perfect Continuous от Present Perfect

Present Perfect Continuous показывает, как долго происходит действие, а Present Perfect— сколько раз.
Для
 Present Perfect Continuous важен процесс, а для Present Perfect — результат

Пример.
I have been living in Kiev since 1975. — Я (уже) живу в Киеве с 1975 года.
Я живу и продолжаю жить в Киеве, процесс начался и продолжается!

How long have you been studying Spanish? — Сколько времени ты (уже) учишь испанский?

В этих примерах очень важно слово уже, которое незримо присутствует в конструкциях Present Perfect Continuous. Т.е. процесс продолжается из прошлого в настоящее.

Образование Present Perfect Continuous

Present Perfect Continuous образуется при помощи вспомогательного глагола to be в Present Perfect (have been, has been) и формы –ing смыслового глагола.

for an hour в течение часа

for a month в течение месяца

for a long time в течение долгого времени, долго, давно

since yesterday со вчерашнего дня

since five oclock с пяти часов

since morning с утра

since she returned с тех пор, как она вернулась

lately недавно, в последнее время

all my life всю жизнь

all this year весь этот год

all day long весь день

these three week эти три недели
