The plan of the lesson

The theme of the lesson: «We know more than anyone else!»

Aims:

Educational - generalization and systematization of the acquired knowledge in new situations, communication, expanding the horizons of students.

Developing - development of creative abilities of students, formation of readiness for communication, motivation to study English language and literature.

Bringing up - develop interest in English literature and reading, fostering respect for the culture of other nations, the development of communication skills in English.

The form of the lesson: competition

Interdisciplinary communication: geography, history, Kazakh.

Visual aids: interactive whiteboard, presentation, cards, tables, crossword.

The procedure of the lesson

1. Organization moment

Teacher: Good afternoon, pupils! I’m glad to see you! How are you?

Pupils: Good afternoon, teacher! We are glad to see you too! Fine, thanks! And you?

Teacher: ok, thanks! Sit down please!

Teacher:

• Who is on duty today?

• Who is absent?

• What date is it today?

• What day is it today?

• What season is it now?

• What month is it now?

• What is the weather like today? …

Students answer questions.

2. Greeting teams.

In the competition two teams. The captain of each team introduces his team, team name and motto of the team. Then the teacher conducts a training titled "Wish luck." Teams line up in two rows. The teacher gives each player a candy. Players must tell the player stood in front of the wish and give candy. At the end of all the players in unison say, "Good luck!".

For example,

• I wish you good health

• I wish you a long life

• I wish you much happiness

• I wish you good mood

• I wish you true friends

• I wish you a lot of money

• I wish you always to smile

• I wish you to be always beautiful

At the end of the lesson the teacher counts points of each teams and determines the winners. Presents credentials. As the teacher assesses each player and thanked everyone for their participation.
