Внеклассное мероприятие « Мы встречаем Новый Год» в третьем классе.

Цели: познакомить учащихся с традициями расширить словарный запас детей;

воспитывать чувства взаимовыручки;

развивать разговорные навыки детей.

Оборудование: маски животных (заяц, тигр, утка, кошка, петух, мышь,

медведь, лиса), макет дома, маскарадный костюм Шалтая-Болтая,

музыкальное сопровождение, новогодние плакаты и открытки.

1. Организация учащихся

Ведущий: Good morning, boys and girls. Today we have many guests. Your parents and

teachers have come to see our performance.

Ведущий: We have a guest from England, too. Meet him, please.

Humpty-Dumpty : Hello, boys and girls. My name is Humpty-Dumpty. I live in England.

English children like me very much. They recite a very nice poem about

me. Do you want to listen to it?

Pupils: Yes, we do.

Humpty-Dumpty sat on a wall,

Humpty-Dumpty had a great fall,

And all the king's horses and all the king's men

Couldn't put Humpty-Dumpty again.

Humpty-Dumpty: Who knows this poem in Russian?

show me your performance?

At The New Year Day Party

New Year Day, happy day,

We are all glad and very gay!

We all dance, and sing, and say,

"Welcome! Welcome! New Year Day!"

Humpty-Dumpty: Do you know how celebrate New Year in England?

Pupils: Yes, we do. Now we are going to tell you about English holidays.

All English people celebrate Christmas on the 25^th of December. It's the greatest holiday of all in England. They give each other present and send Christmas cards. The traditional English dinner on X-mas is turkey and pudding.

On that day in Trafalgar Square there is a X-mas tree, which is overy fifty feet high. It is a present from the people of Oslo. They send it to Londoners every year. There are big bright stars, shining balls of different colours all over the tree. The X-mas tree is very big and beautiful!

Not at all English people celebrate the New Year. Those who do, celebrate it on the 31^st of December. Some have a New Year party. The party usually begins at about 8 o'clock in the evening. At 12 o'clock they have a toast to the New Year. Then the party goes on till early morning.

A lot of people go to Trafalgar Square to see the X-mas tree.

There is another interesting New Year tradition. In Great Britain the first visitorwho comes into a house on New Year's morning is called the First Foot.

This visitor is very, very important. The English people believe that the First Foot brings luck to the family for the following 12 months.

The First Foot comes very early and he brings some symbolic presents of food, a piece of coal, a coin.

He must be a man (or a boy), not a woman.

Humpty-Dumpty: I see, that you are know English holidays.

Story-teller: One morning the Cock went for a walk in the forest. He saw a very big

tree, so he flew up and sat in it. The Fox was in the forest too. He came up to the tree and saw the Cock in it.

Fox (to himself): Oh, that Cock will be a very nice breakfast for me. (He turns to the Cock). Good morning, dear friend. How are you?

Cock: I'm very well, thank you.

Fox: Do you know that all animals are friends now? The dog and the cat are friends.

The cat and the mouse are friends, too. And the birds and the fox; we are all

Friends now.

Cock: That's good. That's very, very good indeed.

Fox: As we are all friends now, will you come to my house? You'll have a tasty

breakfast, I promise you.

Cock: Thank you very much; that's very kind of you. (He turns to the right) Oh, I say!

Look over there! That's a dog. It is coming here. Dogs like tasty breakfasts,
