T: - The first people liked painting pictures. What colours did they use?

  • What pictures did they paint?

Answer the questions:

  1. Why does Sam want to go to the castle? Because he likes soldiers.

  2. Why doesn’t Ned want to go to the castle? He doesn’t like the castle.

  3. Why doesn’t Ned like the castle? Because he is afraid

  4. Why is Ned afraid? He is afraid of the big man

  5. Why isn’t Sam afraid? Because there isn’t a man inside.


VI. Practice. (Children make statements using these structures)
