Don’t interrupt each other

II-Chech up the home work
Before beginning of our new lesson I want to check up your home work.
T: What was your home work Ruslan?
P: Our home work was ex: 4
T: What you had to do on this ex:?
P: we had to write our own opinions or short topic about the Ecological problems.
T: Ok, thanks, take your sit please. And now Aidana what can you say us about the problem of Ecology?
The poisoning of the world's land, air, and water is the fastest-spreading disease of civilization. It probably produces fewer headlines than wars, earthquakes and floods, but it is potentially one of history's greatest dangers to human life on earth. If present trends continue for the next several decades, our planet will become uninhabitable.
Overpopulation, pollution and energy consumption have created such planet-wide problems as massive deforestation, ozone depletion, acid rains and the global warming that is believed to be coursed by the greenhouse effect.
The seas are in danger. They are filled with poison: industrial and nuclear waste, chemical fertilizers and pesticides. The Mediterranean is already nearly dead; the North Sea is following. The Aral Sea is on the brink of extinction. If nothing is done about it, one day nothing will be able to live in the seas.
Every ten minutes one kind of animal, plant or insect dies out for ever. If nothing is done about it, one million species that are alive today will have become extinct twenty years from now.
Air population is a very serious problem. In Cairo just breathing the air is life threatening- equivalent to smoking two packs of cigarettes a day. The same holds true for Mexico City and 600 cities of the former Soviet Union.
Industrial enterprises emit tons of harmful substances. These emissions have disastrous consequences for our planet. They are the main reason for the greenhouse effect and acid rains. An even greater environmental threat are nuclear power stations. We all know how tragic the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster are.
People are beginning to realize that environmental problems are not somebody else's. They join and support various international organization and green parties. If governments wake up to what is happening- perhaps we'll be able to avoid the disaster that threatens the natural world and all of us with it.
T: Aidana do you have questions concerning of research work?
P: Yes, teacher
Ruslan How do you think we should fight pollution of air and water , soil and forest?
T: Who wants to say us about Water Pollution & Plants?
Water Pollution & Plants
Water is one of Earth's most important and essential resources. Water pollution is detrimental not only to the human population, but also the plant population that helps to sustain the ecosystem.
Sewage and fertilizer runoff is a big cause of water pollution. Fertilizers contain nutrients that can overstimulate underwater plants, according to David Krantz and Brad Kifferstein of the University of Michigan. The overstimulated plants lead to clogged waterways.
There are other major pollutants that contaminate our water ways. These include petroleum, radioactive waste and heat. Petroleum and radioactive waste can kill underwater plants instantly. Heat is a pollutant because over time the rising temperatures of the water will not provide a sustainable environment for underwater life.
Water pollution disrupts photosynthesis in underwater plants, which prevents the plants from growing and reproducing. This ultimately disrupts the ecosystem that these plants support, which has negative consequences for all underwater life.
Reefs play a major role in sustaining the ecosystem of the oceans, and also help to control the ocean's energy so it does not cause excess erosion. Reefs also provide housing for millions of types of underwater plants and animals. Water pollution, such as excess sodium chloride, causes reefs to die and decay.
Like plants on land, underwater plants need oxygen to survive. Water pollution drains water of its oxygen supply, which in turn suffocates the plant and animal life.
Soil Pollution Issues
Soil pollution is a serious issue because it effects plant, animal and human health.
Soil pollution is created by the build up of hazardous compounds or toxic materials in soil, which is damaging to the health of plants, animals and humans. Soil pollution is created by industrial pollution and alteration of the soil's fragile ecosystem.
How Soil Becomes Polluted
Soil is sensitive to foreign substances being added to it. Landfill seepage, industrial waste, contaminated water collecting in the soil and pesticides can all pollute soil. Underground storage tanks must be properly handled; seepage of hazardous materials, such as solid waste, destroys the healthy balance of the soil.
The most common pollutants found in soil are petroleum hydrocarbons from industrial plants, heavy metals, solvents and pesticides due to overuse on crops. It is believed that 150 million miles of China's farmland is contaminated, due to industrial pollution.
