Цель урока: совершенствование
навыков устной речи по теме «Natural disasters»; развитие умения выбирать необходимые языковые и речевые
средства для решения предложенной коммуникативной задачи.
Задачи урока:
- Развивающий аспект: развитие
внимания при выполнении упражнения на аудирование, умение делать выводы,
развитие способности к догадке при введении новой лексики,
- Воспитательный аспект:
воспитание чувства сострадания,
- Учебный аспект: формирование
лексических навыков по теме “Природные бедствия”, развитие навыков
аудирования с извлечением конкретной информации и формирование навыков
говорения по опоре.
Оборудование урока:
СD
к учебнику 8 класса, мультимедийный проектор, компьютер, экран, презентация.
Ход урока
1. Организационный
момент.( 1-2 мин)
Good morning, pupils? How are you? Sit
down, please! What is the date today? Is everybody present today?
2. Определение цели урока. (3-4 мин)
Teacher:
The Earth is a beautiful place to live on.
(slide 1). We can see wonderful landscapes , we can climb mountains, swim in
rivers, lakes and seas, lie on the beach (slide 2)
But do you agree that our planet is a
dangerous place? You say “NO”. Sorry to say “YES”.
The Earth is a dangerous place. (slide 3)
There are a lot of different kinds of disasters
on the Earth. What will we speak about today? (About natural disasters.)

Your home task was preparing the report
about one of the disasters: tornado, volcano, flood, drought, earthquake.
I will read you a definition about one of
the disasters. You should guess it and this group will begin their action.
1.
… is a large amount of water which
covers a place that is usually dry land.
2.
… is a sudden shaking of the
ground.
3.
… is a very violent wind or storm.
4.
… is a mountain with a hole called
a crater in the top. Sometimes lava and gases are thrown from the crater.
5.
… is a long period of dry weather
when there is not enough water.

How to protect the disasters?
2.
What can people do to save
themselves during them?

5. Аудирование
(ex. 78 p.23). Слушаем текст и заполняем таблицу. (7-8 мин)
You should write down the names of the
continents and the names of the countries where the disasters happen more
often. (Slide 9-10) Another home task was to make a cluster, present it and
explain the choice of your statements.
Примерные ответы
на два основных вопроса.
1.
People learnt to predict
most disasters. Nowadays there are many stations with much different
equipment. Many scientists are working on this problem. We must learn to
predict them, because too many people died from them every year.
2.
People must follow the
scientists’ warnings and take measures on time. They need to prepare to
disaster and warn their relatives, friends.
8. Подведение итогов урока.(3-4 мин)
What have you learnt today? What new
information have you remembered? Can you explain what natural disasters are?
Where do they happen? Is the Earth a beautiful but dangerous place to live on?
How do you mark your work at the lesson? Do
you work well or bad?
