Тема: «Легко ли быть учеником?»
Цель урока:
научить учащихся аргументировано выражать свое мнение по предложенной проблеме,
уметь самостоятельно найти выход из проблемной ситуации.
Задачи:
Образовательные:
активизировать знания учащихся по теме; развивать навыки аудирования;
совершенствовать навыки поискового чтения с извлечением необходимой информации;
совершенствовать навыки неподготовленной монологической речи; развивать навыки
письма (умение заполнить таблицу, составить схему).
Развивающие:
развивать навыки ведения дискуссии; формировать навыки творческого и
критического мышления через обсуждение и презентацию собственного мнения;
Воспитательные:
способствовать формированию плюрализма, пониманию возможности существования
нескольких верных точек зрения по одному вопросу.
Формы обучения: групповая
работа, фронтальная работа, самостоятельная работа.
Форма урока: урок
с применением технологии Case study.

Технические средства обучения:
компьютер, мультимедийный проектор, экран, видеоролик.
Методическое обеспечение: информационные
кейсы, листы ватмана, фломастеры.
The
theme of the lesson is “ Is it easy to be a pupil?”
Ход
урока:
1. Beginning
of the lesson
Teacher:
Hello, everybody. I am glad to meet you at the lesson. How are you, students? I
hope you are fine. My friends! I hope you will work well and try to speak only
English. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Today we are going to work with cases.
What is a case? A word “Case” has two meanings in English: the first meaning
is “event”, “occasion”, the second- “box”, “bag”.
So,
Case study at our lesson means
“изучение какого-либо случая, проблемы из нашей жизни”.
Well, have a look at the
blackboard, please. The theme of the lesson is “Is it easy to be a pupil?” Do
you agree with it? Sasha, please. What does school mean for you?
Students give their ideas.
Teacher:
Of course, your opinions are different. Today we are going to discuss the
problems, which you have at school and try to find the best way to solve them.
2. Introducing
the problematic situation of the lesson.
Teacher:
You will watch video, where British students will tell you about their
problems. Watch and listen to them. (см.

3. Analyzing
the suggested situations, using case study.
Teacher: Let’s
work in groups of 4-5. Each of you has a case on the desks. Learn it and do
the following tasks.
Task 1. Read the text,
find the problems out in the text and name them. Who can tell about them?
Students name the
problems from the text.
Teacher: Now we
have named the problems, which you are going to discuss and try to find the
solution to them. Choose the situation you’d like to discuss.
Students choose the
situations.
Teacher: Now
I want you to brainstorm your ideas on the problem you are going to discuss.
Write down all your
ideas, which are associated with the problem, you have chosen. Use map-minding
and felt-tip-pens. Well, what are they? Go to the blackboard and tell about
them.
Students brainstorm their
ideas.
Teacher:
Let’s continue to work in groups. Read the comment made by a British student.
Agree or disagree with him or her? If you agree, give your reasons, if
disagree, think of your own. Use the information from case study. While
discussing, fill in the table PMI. (Plus, Minus, Interesting). I’ll give you
10 minutes to prepare.
Students discuss and fill

Presentation.
Teacher:
Your time is up. Listen to the students. Be ready to ask and answer the
questions.

Doing project.
You can see colour
sheets of paper on your desks. Take them and do a collage “If I were the Head
teacher of Peter’s school I would….”

Students do a collage and
then present them.

Dear students, you have
worked a lot. Thank you very much. It was very pleasant to listen to you today.
