The Theme:“People in groups”
The Aims:to organize pupils’ activity in reading, listening,
discussions and question – answer work;
to give the information of the theme;
1.to teach the use of: VERB/PREPOSITIN + ing FORM;
2.to develop pupils’ oral speech and memory;
3.to grow the interest to the groups and search their work;
The Aids:the interactive board, slides, flash – cards, CD and
CDplayer,posters and text-books;
Plan of the lesson
I.Organisation moment:2 minutes
1.Greeting: Good morning pupils!
How’re you?
Who is on duty today?
Who is absent today?
What date is it today?
What day of the week is it today?
What’s the weather like today?
What season is it now? Is it spring or winter?
II.Checking up the homework:3 minutes
What was your homework?
Our homework was to learn by heart new vocabulary.
At the previous lesson we have learnt “verb + noun” forms that make an expression when used together. Now your aim is to match the definite verb with the noun given in the flash – cards.
Answers: (to) break + a promise
(to) break + the law
(to) keep + a promise
(to) keep + a secret
(to) make + a mistake
(to) make + a promise
(to) tell + lies
(to) tell + the truth

III.Group work. Now boys and girls you shall divide into two groups according to these picked up pictures.
The first group’s called: DOMBIRA
the second one is: GUITAR
IV.New theme presentation:5 minutes
Today we shall get acquainted with the new theme: “People in Groups”.
How do you understand this expression?
How can you explain it?
You can draw or write your opinion about it in your posters!
