Цель:
o Совершенствовать коммуникативную компетенцию учащихся.
o Знакомство с конструкцией there is/there are.
o Развивать умения, составляющие лингвистическую
компетенцию:
прогнозирование содержания по заголовку и
иллюстрациям.
o Расширение потенциального словаря учащихся и их общего
кругозора.
Задачи урока:
o Активизация речевой и мыслительной деятельности
учащихся
o Формирование и развитие языковых речевых умений в
устной речи на базе услышанного диалога.
Оборудование: мультимедийный проектор, компьютер, картинки,
ватман.
Ход урока
1.Приветствие. Good morning, boys
and girls! I’m very glad to
see you. Sit down please.

Let’s imagine that we are the
members of flat design agency, and we have a letter from Olga. Let’s read her
email.
We can see that she needs our help to
design her flat. First of all, let’s remember the words about the furniture. I
have some new pictures of furniture, and you I want you to tell me what are
they. Look
at the board.

3. Now try to guess what room about I’m talking:

We cook breakfast, dinner in it.
(kitchen)

It has trees, grass, flowers. What

We take a shower in it. (bathroom)

It’s a place where our dogs and
cats often sleep. (hall)

4. Teamwork.
To help Olga, let’s design
the rooms. I’ll give some pictures with furniture, and you should make a design
of the living room, bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, a hall for Olga. You have
10 minutes for it. Then we will present them and discuss which design is the
best.

the room design, let’s repeat the rules of using there is and there are
construction. Please, tell me what is the rule?
Now, are you ready to present
your rooms? To start present your ideas, please use there is / there are
construction. For example, look at the picture – This is a kitchen. There is a
table, there are three chairs, there are two cupboards…etc.

Now let’s play a game. I’m
thinking about one room and you should try to guess what is it, by asking
questions f/e : Is there a table in the room? Or :Are there any chairs in the
room? Etc. (bathroom, kitchen)

your hometask: to make a design of your dream room.
