I’ve got a lot of friends who speak English as their first language. Some of them live on the British Isles, whereas others are citizens of the North American continent. Not long ago I got acquainted with a girl from Cardiff who was planning to move to New Zealand as she liked the climate in Wellington. From time to time I write to Michael from Canada who works as a shop assistant in one of Ottawa’s supermarkets. Some of my old school friends have moved to the USA. Can you imagine? My friend Pavel has been living in Washington for about 10 years but he hasn’t mastered the language yet. He says he doesn’t need it as he settled down in the Russian community. In fact, America is not his final destination. He is dreaming to live somewhere warm, like India or Jamaica.
