Цели:
Образовательные: совершенствовать умения и навыки
практического владения английским языком по теме урока по всем видам речевой
деятельности: говорению,
чтению и письму.
Развивающие: развивать творческие способности школьников,
умения анализировать, обобщать, делать выводы.
Воспитательные:; прививать интерес к изучению английского
языка, воспитать конкурентоспособную личность.
Сопутствующая задача – контроль умений учащихся самостоятельно
оценивать себя в разных видах речевой деятельности.
Оборудование: компьютер, экран, проектор, упражнения с
заданиями, презентация “Лондон”
Ход урока
1.Организационный момент.
(Приветствие, сообщение о теме и
характере работы на данном уроке)
Teacher: Good morning, boys and girls. I’m glad to see you! Good morning, dear
guests! Welcome to our lesson. My name is Alfira Harisovna. Dear children, I
hope that you are fine today.
Teacher: How are you?

1. It's a bridge over the River Thames in London. It can be opened for ships to
pass.
2. It is one of the most popular attraction London and one of the largest
Ferris wheels in the world. Its height is 135 m and the full circle it makes in
30 minutes. Capsules, which raise people, completely transparent (прозрачные)
and provide (предоставляют) an excellent view of the city at 360 degrees, but
they are closed, so people feel no discomfort.
3. There are about 7-11 million items which show us human history from its
beginning to the present times. Among them are books, statues, pictures and so
on.
4. Buy tickets, view visitor information, find out what's on and meet the
animals at one of the oldest and best loved places in England. First it was
used as a collection for scientific study. In 1832 the animals of the Tower of
London were transferred to the zoo's collection. It was opened to the public in
1847. Today it houses a collection of 698 species of animals, with 20,166
individuals, making it one of the largest collections in the United Kingdom.
5. It's an official residence for The Queen and her family. When the Queen is
at home there is a flag on the top of the building. Every year you can admire
the Changing of the Guardians in front of it.
6. With its position in the heart of London, it is a tourist attraction; a lot
of meetings, New year celebrations take place here. There is Nelson's Column
which stands in the center and the four lion statues guard the column.
7. It is one of the world’s great churches. A lot of coronations happened
there. Since it was founded many kings and queens, politicians and musicians
have been buried there.
8. It is a historic castle located on the north bank of the River Thames.
Before it was a zoo, a prison, a royal residence, a king's observatory, now
it's a museum. It is famous as home of the Crown Jewels.
9. The clock inside the tower was the world's largest in the nineteenth
century. The name refers to the clock's hour bell, the largest of the clock's
five bells. The other four are used as quarter bells. It weighs about sixteen
ton.
