Пояснительная записка
В соответствии с "Концепцией модернизации российского образования на период до 2010 г." в настоящее время в России создается система специализированной подготовки в старших классах общеобразовательных школ, которая предусматривает профильное обучение старшеклассников на ее старшей ступени. Модернизация школьного образования, подразумевает, прежде всего, обновление его содержания. В связи с этим особое внимание уделяется созданию условий для развития творческого личностного потенциала учащихся и расширению возможностей углубленного образования, в том числе языкового. Концепция модернизации российского образования на период до 2010г. определяет цели общего образования на современном этапе. Она подчеркивает необходимость ориентации образования не только на усвоение обучающимися определенной суммы знаний, но и на развитие его личности, его познавательных и созидательных способностей. Модель общеобразовательной школы с профильным обучением на старшей ступени предусматривает возможность разнообразных вариантов комбинаций учебных курсов, которые обеспечивают гибкую систему профильного обучения. Эта система включает в себя: базовые общеобразовательные курсы, профильные курсы повышенного уровня и элективные профильные курсы.
В рамках
всеобщей гуманизации среднего образования особое
место
в системе углубленного обучения английскому языку занимает курс «Английская
литература», призванный
через знакомство с лучшими образцами английской поэзии и прозы способствовать всестороннему целостному развитию личности учащегося, повышению его культурного
уровня одновременно с
совершенствованием иноязычных умений и навыков.
Программа элективного курса профильной подготовки учащихся 10-11 классов «Английская литература» может быть использована в школах и классах с углубленным изучением английского языка, а также в гимназиях и других образовательных учреждениях (в 10 11 классах), где у учащихся уровень владения английским языком достигает Upper-Intermediate/Advanced и где есть значительная гуманитарная составляющая.
Курс «Английская литература» рассчитан на два года обучения в 10-11 классах (2 часа в неделю, при 34 учебных неделях – это составляет 68 учебных часов в год и 136 учебных часов за два года). В программе предложен вариант, оптимально-соответствующий возрастным особенностям учащихся 10-11 классов.
Актуальность содержания данного курса способствует расширению кругозора обучающихся, развитию учебных, коммуникативных и презентационных умений и навыков, углублению их знаний в области литературы, улучшению их компетенции в иностранном языке, повышению мотивации к овладению английским языком, что расширяет возможности успешной профессиональной деятельности на мировом рынке, способствует формированию личности и ее социальной адаптации к условиям постоянно меняющегося поликультурного, полиязычного мира.
Создание программы по английской литературе обусловлено тем, что в 2002 году вышел новый учебно-методический комплект по английской литературе. Однако на сегодняшний день отсутствует какая-либо программа по этому предмету. Представленная программа базируется на учебных пособиях «Английская литература: Средние века – XVIII век», выпущенной в 2002 году; «Английская литература, XIX век - начало XX века» В.Р. Трусовой для 10-11 классов школ с углубленным изучением английского языка и хрестоматии по английской литературе, выпущенных в 2006 году. Новый учебно-методический комплект по английской литературе предназначен для школ и классов с углубленным изучением языка и знакомит учащихся с основными этапами художественного развития английского общества, включает творческие задания, способствующие осмыслению и усвоению пройденного материала, и словарь. Хрестоматия содержит отрывки из произведений наиболее известных английских авторов данного периода.
Курс «Английская литература» дает дополнительную возможность расширить лингвистический и литературоведческий кругозор учащихся, способствует формированию культуры общения, основ филологического образования старших школьников. Данная программа нацелена на реализацию личностно-ориентированного, коммуникативно-когнитивного, социокультурного и деятельностного подхода к обучению английскому языку и английской литературы.
Отличия курса в том, что в нем уделяется большое внимание формированию у учащихся общеучебных умений и навыков, универсальных способов деятельности и ключевых компетенции в следующих направлениях: использование учебных умений, связанных со способами организации учебной деятельности, и способствующих самостоятельному изучению английского языка и культуры стран изучаемого языка; развитие специальных учебных умений, таких как нахождение ключевых слов при работе с текстом, их семантизация на основе языковой догадки, словообразовательный анализ, выборочное использование перевода стихотворений и отрывков из художественных текстов; умение пользоваться двуязычными словарями; участвовать в проектной деятельности межпредметного характера. Через диалог с той или иной культурой учащийся понимает характер и дух культурной эпохи, воссозданной в произведении. В процессе усвоения авторской модели мира у него формируется более глубокое понимание текста. При изучении предмета «Английская литература» учащиеся приобщаются к иным культурным традициям, благодаря чему активнее формируется их толерантность; наблюдается ускоренное формирование коммуникативной культуры учеников, эффективнее и быстрее преодолевается лингво-кулътурологический шок. Этот курс учит читать, понимать, анализировать и использовать стихотворения и различного жанра художественные произведения в классе и жизни, одновременно развивает речевые умения и навыки в устной и письменной речи (умение формулировать, выражать и отстаивать свое мнение по данной тематике, вести дискуссию на английском языке, писать короткое эссе, письмо, проект, репортаж, статью; моделировать жизненные ситуации).
Все виды работ с текстом на уроках английской литературы, которые предполагают выработку обобщенных приемов умственной деятельности, установление логических связей между элементами и частями текста, их причинно-следственных зависимостей соответствуют возрастным психологическим особенностям подростков. Разнообразные задания направлены на то, чтобы учащиеся научились работать индивидуально и в команде (группе), правильно распределять роли, сравнивать жизненные ситуации и делать аргументированные выводы.
Во время урока следует широко использовать задания, стимулирующие поисковую деятельность учащихся к решению и постановке проблем, и побуждающие к самостоятельному творчеству.
На старшем этапе возрастает роль групповой работы как средства реализации естественной потребности старшеклассников к сотрудничеству, взаимодействию друг с другом, соперничеству. Такие формы работы, как ролевые игры, драматизация, инсценировки, способствуют созданию атмосферы заинтересованного прочтения художественного произведения, просмотру видеофильма, поставленному по изучаемому произведению, выходу на его серьезный анализ и организации так называемых интеллектуальных бесед на основе и в связи с прочитанным или просмотренным.
Большое значение в успешном прохождении курса имеют межпредметные связи, в первую очередь, с курсами российской и зарубежной истории и литературы. Полученные учащимися на уроках русской и зарубежной литературы сведения об основных литературоведческих понятиях существенно облегчают им анализ и интерпретацию произведений английской художественной литературы на языке оригинала. Знания же, приобретенные школьниками и ходе знакомства с курсом зарубежной истории, способствуют лучшему пониманию взаимосвязи творчества того или иного писателя с общественным развитием и мировым творческим процессом.
Главной особенностью курса является то, что он носит системообразующий характер. Известно, что всякое образование неизменно опирается на полноту и системность получаемых знаний. В основу системного подхода к курсу «Английская литература» положен литературно-исторический принцип.
Этот подход имеет свои преимущества.
Во-первых, он позволяет взглянуть на литературный процесс с точки зрения его генетической и закономерной последовательности. Так, для ясного и полного понимания современной английской литературы необходимо знать не только ближайшее, но и далекое прошлое этой литературы.
Во-вторых, история литературы составляет важнейшую часть истории культуры. Крупнейшие писатели-классики всегда находились в центре интеллектуальной жизни своего времени, они являлись созидателями и основными деятелями культуры. Принцип историзма в подаче литературных направлений, жанров, произведений, авторов позволяет связать излагаемый материал с эпохой, настроением общества тех лет, глубже понять корни того или иного литературного явления.
При литературно-историческом подходе фигура писателя высвечивается особенно выпукло и может быть рассмотрена во всей своей полноте.
Важная роль при изучении курса отводится самостоятельному прочтению учащимися художественных произведений английских авторов, в том числе и на родном языке. Это могут быть произведения, входящие в программу курса, отобранные самими учащимися или рекомендованные учителем. Необходимо предусмотреть возможность проявления дополнительного интереса со стороны учащихся к изучаемому курсу, всячески поощрять желание расширить круг знаний и умений, определенных программой.
Разработанная программа основана на государственном стандарте и не противоречит его основным функциям: обеспечения права на полноценное образование; повышения качества образования; сохранения единства образовательного пространства страны; гуманизации образования.
Основной целью программы является знакомство учащихся с развитием английской литературы, литературными направлениями и течениями, творчеством наиболее известных писателей и литературных деятелей с учетом следующих принципов: доступности, интегративности и избыточности в презентации материала.
Общение через художественную литературу способствует достижению гармонии между миром «я» и миром «мы», вызывает у учащихся потребность сравнить свой жизненный опыт с тем, что происходит с героями книги, осознать свои собственные устремления, чувства, мысли. Чтение приобретает форму сопереживания и сопричастности.
Художественные произведения, отобранные для курса, могут расширить нравственный кругозор личности учащегося», служить источником накопления нового эмоционального и этического опыта, побуждать учеников к познанию окружающего мира и своего места в нем.
Образовательная цель курса состоит в том, чтобы ввести учащихся в мир литературно-художественной культуры англоязычных стран, познакомить их с произведениями талантливых мастеров художественного слова разных эпох и литературных направлений и их вкладом в национальную культуру, являющуюся составной частью мирового художественного процесса. Реализация образовательной цели связана также с расширением филологического кругозора учащихся, позволяющего более тонко воспринимать оттенки мыслей писателя, переданных посредством образного языка.
Культуроведческая цель данного курса - это способствовать не простому накоплению знаний, а постижению духа, культуры, психологии, образа мышления англоязычных народов.
Практическая цель курса заключается в том, чтобы сформировать у учащихся умение читать, осмысливать и интерпретировать английские художественные произведения различных литературных жанров, адаптированные с учетом уровня владения учащимися английским языком, и постепенно подвести их к умению читать оригинальную английскую литературу.
Курс «Английская литература» предполагает определенный уровень сформированности всех видов компетенции: коммуникативной, лингвистической, лингвострановедческой, общеучебной. Вместе с тем, каждая из компетенций, имеет свою особенность. Формирование коммуникативной компетенции состоит в способности понимать и порождать иноязычные высказывания именно на основе и в связи с содержанием и формой художественного произведения в разных ситуациях общения (беседа, дискуссия, спор, обмен мнениями и т. д.).
В ходе работы над текстами формируется личность учащегося как носителя культуры, развиваются его читательские и литературно-творческие способности. Это соответствует функции культуры, которая в обществе играет роль воспитания и образования, то есть идентификации личности.
Лингвострановедческая компетенция складывается из соответствующих фоновых знаний (т. е. знаний, потенциально присутствующих в сознании англичан, без которых знакомство с художественной культурой этих стран было бы невозможным), а также владения соответствующими языковыми единицами с национально-культурной семантикой (свойственными данной национальной культуре).
Общеучебная компетенция предполагает владение учащимися навыками интеллектуального сотрудничества с книгой, другим человеком, группой, коллективом, а также владение умственными операциями по анализу, синтезу и творческому переосмыслению художественной информации.
Кроме того, в процессе курса «Английская литература» формируются еще два вида компетенции, которые связаны с целями и содержанием именно данного курса. Филологическая компетенция, которая, кроме общелитературной образованности, подразумевает способность учащихся посредством лингвостилистического анализа текста глубже воспринять живую функцию слова, его широкие смысловые и эстетические возможности, нашедшие отражение в индивидуальных особенностях языка того или иного автора. Литературоведческая компетенция предполагает восприятие и осмысление стилистических особенностей английских писателей на языке оригинала, учитывая определенный уровень литературно-теоретической образованности учащихся, сформированный в курсе родной литературы.
Тематика художественных произведений, представленная в данном курсе, весьма разнообразна: любовная, гражданская, философская, пейзажная, политическая и так далее. Это дает возможность подобрать отрывок из художественного произведения, который будет соответствовать теме урока.
Итак, использование в процессе изучения английской литературы художественных текстов позволяет:
ü формировать и совершенствовать фонетические, лексические и грамматические навыки;
ü расширять словарный запас;
ü развивать языковую и контекстуальную догадку;
ü активизировать знакомую лексику в новых речевых ситуациях;
ü развивать и совершенствовать речевые умения в чтении и устной речи;
ü формировать определенные умения анализировать лирический текст;
ü получать определенные лингвострановедческие знания: знакомиться с культурой общества и социальным поведением носителей языка;
ü знакомиться с мировой историей, историей конкретного государства;
ü осуществлять практическую, образовательную и воспитательную цели обучения.
Задачами курса являются повышение эрудиции, знакомство с культурой стран изучаемого языка, овладение основами литературоведения на английском языке (познавательные задачи); совершенствование языковых навыков (лингвистические задачи); вовлечение учащихся в диалог культур;
воспитание нравственности и социальной ответственности и эстетическое развитие (воспитательные задачи), знакомство учащихся с основными этапами художественного развития английского общества и научить их понимать основные закономерности этого процесса.
Изучение поэзии на уроках английской литературы способствует развитию основных коммуникативных умений — чтения, аудирования, говорения, причем последнее чаще всего выступает в форме обсуждения содержания поэтического произведения, которое может вызвать настоящую дискуссию в группе, поскольку проблемы, затрагиваемые в поэтических произведениях, универсальны, носят жизненный характер, не всегда предполагают однозначное решение. Систематическое использование англоязычной поэзии: чтение стихов, их декламация, попытки ребят проникнуть в их суть через восприятие автором, собственное восприятие и художественное воплощение - перевод, помогает решить в учебном процессе целый ряд дидактических задач:
• расширение лингвокультуроведческого кругозора учащихся;
• совершенствование умений монологического и диалогического высказывания на основе обсуждения оригинальных литературных произведений;
• формирование устойчивой мотивации иноязычной деятельности на основе систематического использования при обсуждении не только материалов учебника, но и вечных и важных для всех и каждого проблем, поднимаемых в поэтических и прозаических произведениях.
В ходе работы над данным курсом используются следующие формы и виды текущего контроля: вопросно-ответные упражнения в устной и письменной форме; выделение ключевых слов сообщения с последующим воспроизведением текста; перевод; микродоклады и сообщения; выполнение проектных заданий и др.
Итогом должен явиться экзамен по выбору в любой форме: по билетам, защита проектов. Кроме того, приобретённые знания и навыки используются учащимися и демонстрируются на экзамене по английскому языку, при анализе текста и в беседе по ситуации.
Курс предполагает такие формы ведения занятий, как лекции, семинары, беседы, диспуты, конференции, зачёты устные и письменные, тесты, устный и письменный анализ художественных произведений, видеофильмов, переводы, эссе, доклады учащихся, создание мультимедийных проектов и пр.
Оценка учебных достижений учащихся осуществляется на уроке при проверке и обсуждении результатов выполнения познавательно-поисковых домашних заданий; при устном собеседовании по окончании изучения любой из тем или в процессе выполнения самостоятельной работы в классе; по окончании работы старшеклассников по проектам или другим видам творческой деятельности школьников и представления их результатов в устном и письменном виде. Материалом для проведения самостоятельных проверочных работ по окончании прохождения темы могут служить викторины или проверочные познавательно-поисковые задания. В каждом полугодии учащиеся участвуют в таких творческих видах работ, как выполнение проекта или написание анализа крупного художественного произведения. В 11-м классе ими выполняются только индивидуальные проекты (по одному проекту в год). При оценке качества работы по проекту оцениваются как представленные в письменном виде материалы, результаты работы по проекту, так и устная презентация проекта в классе, используя ТСО.
Использование видеофильмов в процессе изучения крупных художественных произведений способно существенным образом повысить эффективность обучающей деятельности учителя и дает полную возможность познакомиться с содержанием и героями произведения за 1,5–2 часа. Просмотр видеофильмов желателен на английском языке, так как видеоматериалы представляют собой образцы аутентичного языкового общения, создают атмосферу реальной языковой коммуникации, делают процесс усвоения иноязычного материала более живым, интересным, проблемным, убедительным и эмоциональным.
Словарь литературных терминов имеет целью помочь учащимся и преподавателям в работе с критической литературой, а также при анализе художественной литературы на английском языке. В данном приложении термины сопровождаются переводом на русский язык, их определением и иллюстрирующими их примерами, взятыми из литературы Англии и США. В случае отсутствия эквивалентного термина в русском языке там, где это возможно, дается описательный перевод. В это приложение включены как традиционные термины английской литературной критики и стилистики, так и термины, отражающие новые явления в литературном процессе.
Содержание обучения определяется целями обучения. Содержательная сторона курса представлена следующими компонентами: литературно-теоретические знания и умения, страноведческие и лингвострановедческие знания, общеучебные навыки и умения, тематика художественных произведений.
Первый год изучения предмета «Английской литературы» включает знакомство учащихся 10 классов с развитием английской литературы, датируемой с древних времен до конца восемнадцатого века и творчеством наиболее крупных писателей данного периода. В процессе достижения этой цели, учащиеся совершенствуют навыки чтения и репродуктивной, а также продуктивной монологической речи. Материалы пособия помогут учащимся развить как художественный вкус, так и желание читать на английском языке в оригинале.
Основные разделы первого года обучения — это литература Древней Британии и Средневековья, литература эпохи Возрождения, литература периодов гражданской войны и Реставрации и литература эпохи Просвещения. Каждый раздел содержит информацию о развитии основных жанров: поэзии, прозы, драматургии, а также сведения о жизни и деятельности наиболее значительных писателей, поэтов и драматургов.
Второй год изучения знакомит учащихся с развитием английской литературы девятнадцатого и двадцатого веков, литературными направлениями и течениями, творчеством наиболее известных писателей и литературных деятелей с учетом следующих принципов: доступности, интегративности (в процессе освоения нового материала учащиеся используют знания по истории, культуроведению, русской литературе) и избыточности в презентации материала. По мере ознакомления с новым материалом учащиеся продолжают совершенствовать навыки чтения, репродуктивной и продуктивной монологической речи.
Основные разделы второго года обучения - период Романтизма и Викторианская эпоха. Учитывая специфику школьного образования, данная программа не только позволяет глубоко анализировать творчество известных английских прозаиков и поэтов, но и иметь представление о философско-религиозных и эстетических взглядах писателей, отражающих соответствующую эпоху с ее лозунгами, доктринами и противоречиями.
Во время изучения данного курса учащиеся приобретают следующие литературно-теоретические знания и умения:
1. Знания основных эпох и направлений английской литературы: (литература Древней Британии, средневековая литература, литература эпохи Возрождения и периодов гражданской войны и Реставрации, литература эпохи Просвещения и классицизма, литература эпохи Реализма, Романтизма и Викторианской эпохи.
2. Знание основных родов, видов и жанров английской литературы:
— эпические произведения: сказка (народная, волшебная, авантюрная, бытовая, философская); новелла; роман (рыцарский, приключенческий, героико-романтический, социальный, роман-эпопея, роман в письмах, сатирический, роман-памфлет);
— лирические и лирико-эпические произведения: басня; поэма; баллада;
лирическая поэзия (любовная лирика, пейзажная, философская, политическая);
— драматические произведения: драма; трагедия; комедия (лирическая, сатирическая).
3. Знание ведущих представителей того иди иного литературного направления, в том числе наиболее популярных среди детей и юношества писателей Великобритании.
4. Знание основных средств художественной выразительности (метафора, гипербола, сравнение, эпитет, аллегория) и умение использовать их для характеристики стиля писателя.
Понимание идейно-образного содержания иноязычного художественного произведения невозможно без соответствующего восприятия учащимися страноведческого фона этого произведения. В связи с этим при прохождении курса необходимо уделять особое внимание лексическим единицам с национально-культурным компонентом (встречающимся в процессе чтения). К ним относятся:
- фоновая лексика (т. е. страноведчески значимая: имена собственные, фразеологизмы, пословицы, афоризмы, историзмы, идиомы и т. д.);
- реалии (слова, обозначающие предметы национальной культуры, события общественной и культурной жизни страны, географические названия и т.д.).
В ряду реалий важное место занимают имена литературных персонажей. Отдельные образы утратили первоначально присущее им бытовое или историческое значение и превратились в психологические категории. Такие имена могут быть использованы как материал для сравнения, аналогий и выражения эмоциональных позиций говорящих.
- безэквивалентная лексика (слова, не имеющие аналогов в родном языке).
В круг чтения подростков и старших школьников входят произведения, тематика которых отражает следующие явления действительности:
а) морально-этические проблемы добра и зла, дружбы, любви, справедливости, взаимоотношений взрослых и детей и другие, которые могут найти отражение в устно-речевом общении на основе и в связи с художественным текстом, значительно обогатив содержательный план речи;
б) культурно-бытовые темы (музыка, спорт, путешествия, профессиональная деятельность и др.), которые также широко представлены в художественных произведениях;
в) социальные темы (борьба с насилием, проблема войны и мира, расизм и т. д.).
Требования к знаниям и умения учащихся предусматривает формирование у учащихся целого ряда общеучебных и специальных умений. Первая группа позволяет учащимся овладеть наиболее рациональными приемами умственной деятельности, а вторая — адекватно воспринимать художественное произведение и отразить свои мысли и чувства в самостоятельном высказывании по поводу прочитанного.
Обучение предполагает развитие умений четырех видов речевой деятельности.
Чтение произведений, вошедших в программу курса, направлено на дальнейшее развитие умений собственно чтения с постепенным выходом на неадаптированную художественную литературу. Изучение данного элективного курса должно предоставить учащимся возможность овладеть более высоким уровнем развития умений смысловой переработки текста, к которым относятся:
— умение выявить основную идейную, эстетическую и эмоциональную информацию художественного произведения (или фрагмента);
— умение выявить более глубокий подтекст, раскрыть содержание текста, мысли автора, когда авторское суждение или обобщение отсутствуют;
—умение выносить развернутые оценочные суждения об образах литературных героев, делая это аргументировано, с привлечением фактологической информации из текста;
—умение охарактеризовать стилистические особенности произведения (для чего необходимо распознавать основные языковые средства художественной выразительности, виды и жанры произведений);
—умение дать
эстетическую оценку всего произведения в
целом
(или отдельного фрагмента);
—умение воссоздать
воображаемые жизненные положения
героя, предысторию или продолжение
прочитанного отрывка;
— умение
соотносить художественное произведение со своим
личным
опытом и морально-этическими установками, с действительностью, ранее
прочитанными книгами, с другими видами искусства.
Продолжается развитие умения восприятия на слух звукозаписи более сложных в языковом и содержательном отношении аутентичных художественных произведений (стихи, проза, отрывки из драматических произведений, кино- и видеофильмов).
Учащиеся продолжают совершенствоваться в умениях выполнения письменных творческих заданий на основе и в связи с прочитанным:
· умение написать сочинение;
· умение написать сценарий прозаического произведения;
·
умение написать воображаемое начало (или конец) истории
и
т. д.
Программа предусматривает дальнейшее формирование у учащихся элементарных навыков художественного перевода.
Художественный перевод рассматривается в данном случае не только как сопоставление двух языковых систем, но и двух культур, двух иноязычных цивилизаций. Необходимо способствовать формированию следующих умений:
· подобрать лексико-семантический или грамматический эквивалент, обусловленный контекстом;
·
осуществить необходимую лексическую и грамматическую
трансформацию
для сохранения адекватности в переводе;
· передать общий смысл предложения, абзаца, фрагмента.
Задачи, стоящие перед учителем, обусловливают также более высокий уровень владения общеучебными умениями и навыками, в частности такими, как:
o умение
самостоятельно излагать мысли, суждения, свою
точку
зрения на проблему;
o умение оперировать основными функционально-смысловыми типами речи: описанием, повествованием, рассуждением;
o умение классифицировать, объединять и обобщать факты, явления;
o умение провести сравнение по аналогии и контрастации;
o умение
аргументировать и контраргументировать мысли и
суждения
и др.

A literary movement of the second half of the 18th century brought to life as a reaction to classicism. S. marked a, new stage in the evolution of the Enlightenment. The belief in the values of reason being shattered, the emotional tendencies became accentuated. The first element which comes into prominence in the works of sentimentalists is the emotional treatment of Nature associated with a striving for primitive life and rejection of bourgeois civilization. Sentimentalists believed in innate virtues of man and his ability of moral improvement.
