SCENE 1.
Комната. Мама с
детьми украшают ёлку. Звучит рождественская песня “Jingle Bells”.
Mother: What a wonderful
evening it is! I think Christmas is the most favourite holiday of the year.
Bill: Of course, mum!
Jane: Mummy, why do you like
Christmas?
Mother:
I love Christmas for many
things
Trees, candles, angel wings.
Stars in the heavens, snow
covered hills,
Little toy trains, dolls in
their frills.
I love Christmas, but most of
all
I look forward to a neibour’s
call.
A friendly chat, a cup of
tea.
Love in the home means
Christmas for me.
Jane: And I like Christmas
very much, too. On Christmas we celebrate the birth of Our Lord.
Bill: I read about it in the
Bible.
Mother: Do you remember where
Jesus Christ was born?
Jane: In the town of Bethlehem.
Mother: Just imagine: a
stable, a manager, shepherds, a heavenly light. Listen...
SCENE 2.
У костра сидят три
пастуха. Один играет на флейте.
1st shepherd: The city of Bethlehem is full of people these days. They’ve come from everywhere.
2nd shepherd: Look! The sky! It’s
getting brighter and brighter. What can it be?
3rd shepherd: Is it a dream?
Do you see it? I’m scared. Let’s run away.
(Angel appears.)
Angel: Don’t be afraid. I
bring good news tonight. It will make men happy, when they hear it. Tonight in Bethlehem, a Saviour was born. He is the Messiah, the King that God promised for many
years.
1st sherpherd: The Messiah –
born in our city?
2nd sherpherd: In Bethlehem?
Tonight?
3rd sherpherd: Where can we
find Him?
Angel: You will find this
Baby in a manger in the stable.
1st sherpherd: Be quick! Let
us go and see Messiah and bring Him some gifts. Glory to God in the highest.
Пастухи подходят к вертепу
и декламируют стихотворение “A Story That Never Grows Old”.
Once a little Baby lay
Sleeping in a manger,
Resting on a bed of hay,
A precious little Stranger.
The donkeys and the cows
stood near.
Wise men came from far.
Mary held the Baby dear;
Over them a star.
Wise men came themselves to
know
Of the Baby’s birth.
Wise men knelt on bended
knee.
Christ had come to earth!
Звучит песня “Silent night”.
Silent night, holy night,
All is calm, all is bright.
Round yon Virgin,
Mother and Child,
Sleep in heavenly peace.
Silent night, holy night,
Shepherds quake at the
sight.
Glory streams from Heaven
afar.
Heavenly hosts sing
Hallelujah.
Christ the Savior was born.
Silent night, holy night.
Son of God, Love’s pure
light.
Radiant beams from Thy holy
face
With the dawn of redeeming
grace,
Jesus, Lord at thy born.
SCENE 3.
Та же комната. Мама с
детьми.
Mother: Thus, my darlings, the
birth of Our Lord shook all the world. It is in our hearts nowadays.
Входит папа, снимает пальто.
Father: Is anybody in?
Bill: Hi,Dad!
Jane: Hello,pa! Look at our
Christmas tree.
Father: Oh, it’s fantastic.
Scene 4
P 1. How did
it all begin? No one really knows, though the custom of having Christmas trees
certainly comes from Germany. At one time 'Adam and Eve Day' was celebrated on
24 of December. They decorated a tree, known as the Paradise Tree, with apples
and fruit.
P 2. Some
say it was Martin Luther, the great sixteenth-century reformer, who first
brought the lighted Christmas tree indoors. As he walked through the forest one
night he looked up to see the stars shining through the branches. It was so
beautiful he went home to tell his children how the lighted tree was like a
picture of Jesus, who left the starry heaven to bring light to earth.
P
3. Many towns
have their own Christmas tree, set up in the square or high street. One of the
best-known stands in Trafalgar Square in London as a
gratitude for the help given
to the people of Norway by Britain in the Second World War.
P 4. Since the
1920s there has been a large Christmas tree on the White House lawn in Washington. The President himself switches on the lights.
P 5.
In New Zealand the Christmas tree is alive and growing. Its Maori name is
Pohutakawa, but early settlers called it the Christmas tree because its
beautiful red flowers bloom in December. The huge trees grow mostly by lake and
sea side and holiday-makers can tread a carpet of its red stamens down to the
water's edge.
Scene 5
Вдруг раздаётся громкая музыка. Мама выглядывает в окно.
Mother: Look, there’s
something interesting there.
Father: Hello! Glad to see
you. Who are you?
Clown: I’m a funny little
clown,
Yah, yoh, yah.
I can smile and I can frown.
Yah, yoh, yah.
I’m a funny little clown,
Yah, yoh, yah.
I can jump and I fall down.
Yah, yoh, yah.
Children: It’s great! (Clapping
their hands).
Musician: We are musicians. We
can play the guitar and we can sing songs. Listen, please!
Scene 6
Jane - Christmas Eve is a
very mysterious time. Sometimes unusual things can happen. I want to tell you
one Christmas story about my brother Bill, which happened last year. Bill is
a very good boy. But it was strange how often he forgot to do things our
mother asked him.
(На сцене мама, папа
и Бил)
Mother – Bill, did you
remember to brush your teeth?
Bill – Oh, sorry, I forgot!
Mother – Did you remember to
make your bed, Bill?
Bill – Sorry mum, I forgot!
Father – Did you take your
boots to football practice?
Bill – Father, I forgot!
Father – Did you remember to
help your mother?
Bill - Sorry, I forgot!
Father – Oh, Bill, Bill!
Mother – Did you do you homework?
Bill - No, mum, I forgot!
Mother – Did you give
grandmother an invitation letter to Christmas dinner?
Bill - Oh, sorry, I
forgot!
Sister – My brother forgot
everything he wanted to forget and only remembered the things he wanted to
remember. Christmas was coming and Bill remembered to write out a list of
things which he would like Santa Clause to bring him.
Bill sat and began to write
a letter.
(мальчик пишет
письмо)
Dear Santa,
I was a very good boy this
year. I’d like a new car, and some chocolate and new DVD, and a ball, and
football shirt.
Thanks a lot, Bill.
(Mother and Father are
talking about Bill’s letter.)
Mother - Dear, how do you
think, may Santa forget about Bill’s presents?
Father – I am afraid, Yes.
Mother – And how do you think,
Bill?
Bill – No, he won’t forget
about me! Santa doesn’t forget!
Sister – It was Christmas
morning, Bill and I came to the fireplace and took our stockings.
Sister – Oh, Look, Bill, I’ve
got a new doll, and you?
Bill – What? Where are my
presents?
Mother - Bill, come hear!
Look! Here is a Santa’s letter!
Mother – Read, Bill.
new car,
some chocolate
new DVD,
ball,
football shirt.
SORRY I FORGOT!!!!!!!!
Bill – mother, father, and Jane,
forgive me please. I’ll never forget anything at all.
Mother – Oh, Bill, look! Is
it yours?
Bill – Santa didn’t forget about
me. Thank you, Santa.
Scene 7
New Year:
I am little New Year, ho, ho!
Here I come jumping over the
snow,
Shaking my bells with a
merry din –
So open your doors and let
me in!
New Year:
But where is Santa Clausе?
Let`s call him: “Santa
Clausе! Santa Clausе”! (The children are calling).
Santa Clausе: I am
here, here, my dear children. Happy New Year, dear friends! I am glad to see
you! But do you like to sing songs? Do you know any songs about winter, frost,
or the New Year?
Santa Clause:
New Year Day, happy day,
We are all glad and very
gay!
We all dance and sing and
say:
“Welcome! Welcome! New Year
Day”!
Happy New Year, my dear
friends!
Happy New Year!
I want to give you lots of
love
And want to say right here:
Have a happy New Year Day
And then a happy Year!
All together: Merry
Christmas! Merry Christmas! Happy
New Year!
В исполнении всех
участников концерта звучит финальная песня “Happy New Year”.
