Тема урока
«In the charts!» («На вершине рейтингов популярности»)
Цели:
Обучающие:
научиться рассказывать о популярных музыкальных жанрах, всемирно известных
композиторах, известных группах и кумирах.
Развивающие:
развивать компенсаторную и социокультурную компетенции; создать условия для
усвоения знаний по теме, развивать логическое мышление у обучающихся, учить
выделять главное, сравнивать.
Воспитательные:
воспитывать интерес к знаниям, гордость за выдающихся деятелей культуры своей
страны, культуру поведения через освоение норм этикета
УУД личностные:
осознавать возможности самореализации средствами иностранного языка,
совершенствовать собственную культуру, эстетический вкус и интерес к музыке.
Регулятивные:
определять цель, проблему в деятельности, планировать деятельность, оценивать
степень и способы достижения цели.
Коммуникативные:
развивать коммуникативные УУД через все виды речевой деятельности,
формулировать собственное мнение и позицию, понимать позицию другого,
корректировать своё мнение, создавать устные и письменные тексты,
организовывать работу в паре , группе, уметь договариваться с людьми.
Познавательные:
планировать и осуществлять учебно-исследовательскую работу, находить в учебнике
и других источниках, в том числе используя ИКТ, достоверную информацию,
развивать умения смыслового чтения.

everybody!
I
am glad to see you, dear friends! Today we will have an unusual lesson. We are
going to speak about music. Do you like music? Is music a part of your life?

Music is like a tree. Its roots are the rhythm and its branches are all
different styles enjoyed around the world. What kind of music do you prefer?

My favourite music is classical. It entertaints me. It’s so amasing and
unforgettable. This music makes me think of my early childhood, happy days, favourite
seasons.

What kind of music are popular among our classmates? Let’s see.

1) My
favourite music is not only classical. It is hard-rock, too. Hard
– rock consists of classical performance and jazz. People take it often for
techno metal. I play sometimes hard rock. This music learns me a lot.
2) As
for me, I enjoy listening to jazz. It is an American style of music
based on variation. Since its beginning in the black community of New Orleans, Louisiana,
USA about the beginning of the 20th century, it has been involved
into many different styles. It consists of improvisation and variation. And
what about you?
3) I
like dancing. When I have some free time I like listening to breathtaking, fast
rock’n’roll. It is a stile of music that was popular especially in the
1950s but is still played now. It has a strong, loud beat and is usually played
the electrical instruments.
4) As
for me, I prefer country music. It is popular in and originated from the
southern and western United States. It has many sources: traditional ballads,
cowboy songs, Mexican music. It is catchy.
5) A
type of music that I like is blues. It has its origins in American black
community. Most songs are about loneliness, sadness or lost love, sometimes the
words express a humorous reaction to life’s troubles.
6) When
I am free I listen to different music. It depends on my mood. Sometimes it can
be rap. Why not? It is a musical style where the singer speaks or shouts
the words.
7) Best
of all, I like pop music. This music appeals to my heart and feelings. It is
romantic, soft, sweet and sentimental. It is easily to understand.

“The Beatles“, “ABBA“, “Pink Floyd“, “The Rolling Stones“, “Deep Purple“,
“Queen“, “Led Zeppeling“ are still famous today. They are classics of music.

by your favourite group?

Yes, our region is famous for many talented people. As you know, Tolmachovs’
sisters appeared at the Eurovision Song Contest. The girls are only 17 but they
are so famous, achieved a great success in music and have won the love of the
audience.

they haven’t take the first place, they are the best for us.

One of them is Avril Lavigne. “Let go” is the album by the Canadian rock star
Avril Lavigne. She is very well-known in the USA and Canada and it is easy to
see why! This talented singer and songwriter inspires teens all around the
world with her great voice, powerful music and exciting lyrics.

I
am sure that she will be famous for a long time. Her most famous song from the
album is “Complicated”. It was in the music charts for 4 months and reached the
top 5. This album is fantastic.
Teacher:
You will get the cards with extracts of lyrics of the song “Complicated”, but
some of the words are missing. The task for you is to complete the song while listening
to it.
