Для разработки упражнений и заданий
для развития умений в чтении на материале документальной биографии в 10 классе
нами была взята документальная биография Билла Гейтса.
Представленная документальная
биография, а также задания и упражнения к ней дополняют модуль 8 «Technology».
При изучении и анализе УК «Spotlight
10» мы обнаружили, что в данном модуле отсутствуют тексты документальной
биографии. Ниже нами описывается фрагмент урока по теме «ICT Geniuses»,
соотносящийся с тематикой модуля и основанный на тексте биографического жанра.
Задания распределены по
трем этапам, описанным в параграфе 2.1.
I.
ПРЕДТЕКСТОВЫЙ ЭТАП
1) Look at the pictures. How do you think,
what is our topic will be about? (technology). Could you name any names of
computer geniuses? Characterize them in brief.
2) Look at the picture (ПРИЛОЖЕНИЕА).
Who is it? What do you think the article is about?
3) Decide which type this text belongs to:

На послетекстовом этапе перед нами
стоят следующие задачи: использование ситуации текста в качестве языковой / речевой/
содержательной опоры для развития умений в устной и письменной речи.
19) Говорение.
Диалог.
«Questions
to the characters». Обучающиеся придумывают вопросы к
Биллу Гейтсу по тексту. Затем разбиваются на группы. Один представитель из
группы выступает в роли Б. Гейтса и отвечает на вопросы одноклассников из
других групп.
20) Characterize Bill Gates in three sentences.
Данное
задание может быть проведено как в устной форме, так и в письменной.
21) Говорение. Монологическая речь. Retell the text as you are the main character.Обучающиеся
работают в парах. Учитель засекает время (1мин). Первый обучающийся (S1) задает
вопрос по биографическому тексту, используя лексику урока. Второй обучающийся
(S2) отвечает на вопрос. Задача S1 услышать ошибки в речи S2. Если S1 заметил
ошибку, то говорит “Stop” и называет ошибку. Далее обучающиеся меняются ролями.
