Teacher names any action verbs so that to check students understanding, students mime the action verb. Teacher monitors student’s understanding.

 

Poster

Teacher put up the the My music poster.Name a musical instruments. Ask pupil to come to the board and point to the corresponding instruments.

Listen point and repeat. Track 17 CD2

Pupils book is closed. Teacher will give the flashcards of musical instruments. And corresponding words on the blackboard. Then students repeat after teacher chorally and individually.

Then ask to put up the flashcard where is drum ets. And they must match the word with card.

Learners look at the pictures and name types of transport.

Teacher asks learners: “How do you get  to school?’’ Learners choose one card and answer.

 

 

 

 

 

Presentation and practice

Listen, point and repeat.

Pupil’s  books closed.  Teacher puts  posters “Musical instruments’’ on the board.  Teacher points to each musical instruments and present them.

Learners repeat  chorally and individually. Then then  the teacher points each  instrument in random order and asks learners.

Pupil’s  books opened.  Teacher plays the CD. The learners listen,  point to the pictures and repeat.

 

Ex.1,p.74   Colour. Write. Say and do.

Learners listen to the teacher and colour musical instruments.

Trumpet-blue

Guitar-red

Recorder-green

Piano-yellow

Drum-orange

 

Learners work individually.

Checking understanding.  Teacher asks learners to choose one musical instrument and say what colour is it.

Example: My piano is black.

Formative assessment strategy “Smiles”.

  

 

Physical training

Teacher calls learners to stand in front of the board and asks to make a circle and dance together with a bear from the video

Learners make a circle and dance with the teacher.

Listening and singing.

Use of English  I can… Teacher explains I can…

I can play the piano.

I can play the guitar.

WORK IN GROUP

Teacher divides learners into 5 groups.

Ex.2, p.74 Sing the I can play… song!

First time leaners sing a song together.

Then they  work in groups. Each group has got one part of the song. Each group come to the blackboard and thing a song.

 

Formative assessment strategy ‘Clapping’.

 

Red Yellow Green

Learners assess each other using coloured cards.

Listening and reading.

Ex.3, p.75  Learners look at the pictures and tell what they can see.

T: What’s this?

L: A trumpet

T: Lilly can play the trumpet.  What can Liam play?

Learners watch the video and answer.

Ex.4, p.75 Leaners look at the pictures and circle.

Pupils work in groups and collect the story. The  teacher asks individual students.
