ТЕМА: Викторина «Be the First»

ЦЕЛИ:

1)     Обобщить и закрепить лексический и грамматический материал по изученниой теме. Обобщить фактический материал по теме  “America (the USA)”.

2)     Развивать навыки говорения, аудирования, чтения; развивать умение вести беседы на изучаемом языке, а так же делать монологическое высказываниею

3)     Воспитывать интерес к изучению иностранного языка.

ОБОРУДОВАНИЕ: раздаточный материал, таблички с названиями команд, темой урока, таблица оценивания команд для жюри, грамота.

ЭТАПЫ	ХОД   УРОКА
1.     Орг. Мом.
2.     Сообщение темы урока	-         Today we are having an unusual lesson. It’s a competition “Be the First”.
3.     Основная часть: 1)     представ ление жюри	We have two teams and a jury . ……..will count the score. At the end of our competition we’ll know “Who is the first? Who is the Best?”. -         At first you must decide who your captain is. -         Who is the captain of your team? -         So the captains come up to the table and choose the name of your team. (“Native Americans”, “English Colonists”) -         Your team is …….
2)     1 задание «Скороговорка»	Let’s start our competition. Listen to me very carefully. Try to understand the tasks. So the first task is: -         Read the tongue twister 3 times. Do it as quickly as you can . I give you 2 minutes to get ready. A good cook can cook as much cookies as a good cook who can cook cookies. -         Stop. Let’s listen to 1) “Native Americans”                                     2) “English Colonists” - Good you are. What’s the score?
3)     2 задание «Кроссворд»	The second task is “Solving the word cross”. There are a lot of words on the topic “America(the USA)”. Find them and circle. You have 5 minutes. -         Time is up. Stop writing. The jury will count the score.
4)     3 задание «Письмо из Америки»	I see that you know a lot of words, and I’ve got a letter for you. The letter is form America, John , an American pupil, wrote about his country. But there is something wrong with it. -         Read the letter. Find mistakes and correct them. Then you’ll read the right letter. -         You have 5 minutes. -         Time is up. Let’s read it. 1) “Native Americans”                                             2) “English colonists” - What’s the score? For the second task “N.A.” get ……                                                                        “E.C” get…….                                     For the letter “N.A.” get……..                                                               “E.C.” get……..
5)     4 задание «Праздники»	As you know, Americans have got a lot of holidays and they like to celebrate them. -         What American holidays do you know? -         The fourth task is to match the holiday with the date when people celebrate it. -         You have 2 minutes. -         Time is up. Stop writing. The jury will count the score.
6)     5 задание для капитанов	The next task is for our captains. Come up to the table and choose the task. Read what you have. Listen to me very carefully. You’ll tell us everything you know about ……….(the story of the Wild West)   And you about………(the history of Thanksgiving Day) -         Take this seat. You have 5 minutes to get ready.
7)     6 задание «Сделай свой выбор»	Dear boys and girls there are a lot of things, places which remind us about America. Your task is to find and circle them (these things and places). You have 2 minutes. -         Stop. The jury will count the score. -         And know let’s listen to uor captains. -         Who wants to begin? -         Good you are. Thank you. Take your seats.
4)     Подведение итогов. Награждение.	Our competition is over. I think each of you is the first but let’s ask our jury what the score is. -          “…….”   Are the first. I have a prize for you. The lesson is over.        I am sorry I haven’t written so long. I was very busy but now I can write a letter to you.

       In your last letter you asked me to write a few words about the discovery of my country.

Well, as you know,George Washington discovered America  in 1942. I don’t know much

about this man. He was born in Spain but lived in Russia. He was a tailor and made a lot of

sea clothes. Once the King and the Queen of Russia gave him money to sail to  Great Britain.

After sailing 4000 miles he reached some land. Washington thought that it must be Great

Britain but it was a new continent, America.

      Now I really think I’m finishing. Sorry for such a long letter.
