Открытый урок в 6 классе по теме

Человек и окружающий мир”

(“Man and the Natural World”)

Данный урок разработан для учащихся 6-го класса в рамках темы “Человек и окружающий мир” , учебная ситуация “Загрязнение окружающей среды” (“Pollution”),на основе УМК “Английский язык” для 6 класса школ с углубленным изучением английского языка, лицеев и гимназий, авторов О.В. Афанасьевой, И.В. Михеевой.

Тема урока: “Хрупкая планета” (“The Fragile Planet”).

Учителя: Безденежных Н.В., Веткалова Г.Ю.

Тип урока: обобщение и систематизация знаний учащихся по теме урока с мультимедийным сопровождением.

Цель урока: научить школьников использовать английский язык как инструмент общения в диалоге культур современного мира.

Для достижения цели урока необходимо решить следующие задачи:

1. Образовательные:

- совершенствование умений и навыков аудирования, чтения и говорения;

- обобщение единичных знаний в систему.

2. Воспитательные:

- формирование основных мировоззренческих идей;

- трепетного отношения к окружающему миру;

- развитие навыков группового взаимодействия.

3. Развивающие:

- формирование познавательного интереса учащихся;

- обеспечение общего кругозора и связи изучаемого с явлениями и процессами реального мира.

ХОД УРОКА

I) ОРГАНИЗАЦИОННЫЙ МОМЕНТ.

Галя: Good afternoon, boys and girls! We are glad to see you. Sit down, please. Let’s start our lesson.

(демонстрация фильма - Нина)

Галя: The theme of our lesson today is “Our fragile planet”

We live on the Earth and everything around us is a part of it. We depend on our planet, on the sun,  on animals  and plants around us. But now our planet, animals and people are in danger. We have serious ecological problems on our Earth. Today we ‘ll exchange our opinions on the global problem how to protect our planet, how to prevent further pollution and what necessary actions are to be undertaken.


Pupils number 4, at the end of the lesson you will put marks to all members of your groups.


III) СИСТЕМАТИЗАЦИЯ ЗНАНИЙ УЧАЩИХСЯ ПО ТЕМЕ.


1) Актуализация знаний учащихся по изученной лексике.

Галя:Let’s start with the brain storm. You have small lists in your file, pupils number 4, please, take them out. Now, each of you will pronounce and write down 3 words which are connected with the pollution of the environment and put them in the middle of the table. (Учащиеся в группах пишут слова на карточках, а затем зачитывают вслух и кладут на парты).Jot thoughts


Галя:You see how many words you have known. Pupils number 4, take the words, mix them and put 9 lists in to the middle of the desk three on three. Now all of you will make 3 sentences with 3 of these words and write them down on the lists. You may take the words across, down or diagonally. You have 1 minute for this task. Tic-tac-toe

2) Совершенствование навыков монологической речи.

Галя: 

Now let’s have a discussion. What are the most serious environmental problems?

Pupils: P1:acid rains, holes in the ozone layer

P2: pollution in its many forms(air pollution, water pollution, nuclear pollution)

P3:noise from cars and buses

P4:the growth of population

P5:shortage of natural recourses

P6:destruction of wildlife and the beauty of countryside

P7:traffic jams and carbon dioxide from cars

P8:scientific development


Галя:Right you are. Thank you. You are absolutely right.



3) Формирование навыков аудирования.


Нина: (я включаю слайд с новой лексикой)

The problem of man and his interaction with environment has now become one of the most important problems for the whole mankind. Now we’ll listen to the text and discuss some environmental problems of the Takuisland. But first look at the screen , here are some new words for you.


Marshes-a piece of land that is soft and wet

Bird sanctuary- an area for birds, where they can’t be hunted

Nature reserve-a piece of land set aside for wild animals and plants

Tin mine-tin (a soft whitish metal) mine (a system of holes under the ground from which gold, tin are dug)

Sloth-a slow moving animal of Central America that lives in the trees and hangs by four from branches

Humming bird- a very small bird, whose wings beat very fast and make a humming noise

T: Please repeat after me.

T: Look at the plans of the island before you listen to a radio programme about Takuana, try to predict what it will be about, read the statements and put pluses or minuses in front of each statement in the column “before”. 1 minute for your task (затем запись с аудированием ). (A\R GUIDE)

Галя: The next task will be the following: I”ll give you a minute to look at the plan of the island one more time and think about advantages and disadvantages of it, then write down your statements in 1st condition. Begin your work , please.Your time is up .

Now those who wants to speak about advantages come here and those who wants to speak about disadvantages come there. (Corners) Find your nearest partner and discuss the problems, I’ll give 20 seconds for each partner. The tallest partner will be the first to answer. Start , please. 6) Совершенствование навыков по грамматике.

Нина: Now I’ll give you some cards, the task will be to put the verbs in brackets in the correct tense (in 1st condition). 2 minutes for this (Карточки для письменной работы)

7)Выполнение проектного задания с элементами моделирования в группах.

Нина: Let’s design a T-shirt telling people about ecological problems of the day. Work in your groups and design a T-shirt. Show your design to other groups and prove it.

(Каждой группе дается заготовка макета майки; учащиеся по кругу рисуют картинки и пишут лозунги. Затем каждая группа представляет свой дизайн майки). (Таймер на 3 минуты) (Round table)


1.Don’t make fires in the forests. As the result of the firewe can speak about the destruction of the whole forest.

Burning makes air pollution worse. Every day we use paper made of wood. Forests are damaged, they help control the weather and produce oxygen in the air.

2. Don’t pollute water and air! Clean air is necessary for our health.We need good filters at nuclear power stations, at factoriesand plants, and also in cars and busses. Many rivers and seas are poisoned. Fish and birds die.

And people can’t live without drinkable water.

3. Take care of animals! Nowadays there are a lot of endangered animals:their number is so small, they can easily die out. Animals leave their habitats we must save our planet.


IV) ОБОБЩЕНИЕ ЗНАНИЙ УЧАЩИХСЯ ПО ТЕМЕ.

Галя: To sum up our discussion let’s make up the resolution . What people should do and mustn’t do to save our planet. You will discuss dos and don’ts of the problem in pairs pupils number 4 and 3 discuss dos and pupils number 1 and 2 don’ts. 20 seconds for each of you, Pupils number 4 and 1 begin first. Галя: Well, your time is up, I want to listen to your points of view.

  • We should give food to animals and birds ,hand bird-houses

  • I think people must keep their towns, cities, countryside clean

  • Ask government to make laws to protect air, water, animals

  • We must save natural resources, energy , gas, water

  • People should use litter bins to keep streets in their towns and cities clean

  • Collect plastic, newspapers and take it into recycling centers

  • Eat healthy food , go in for sport

  • We must plant trees to make air clean


Don’ts


  • Don’t waste water, gas, energy, natural resources

  • Don’t poison air , water, soil

  • Don’t turn the planet into the rubbish bin

  • Don’t throw away things

  • Don’t eat fast food

  • You must not smoke, take drugs

  • Don’t spend much time in direct sunlight, for a long time because ultraviolet radiation cause skin cancer.

  • Don’t use aerosols because of the ozone layer
