- развитие коммуникативной компетенции через ролевую игру
-совершенствование лексико-грамматических навыков, расширение словарного запаса обучающихся, совершенствование разговорных навыков, навыков аудирования.
- развитие памяти у учащихся (на примере упражнения «диалоги», «полилоги» учащиеся должны составить и выучить диалоги и полилоги и в последствие разыграть)
- развитие интереса учащихся к литературе Британии
- развитие креативных способностей в процессе парной и групповой работы
-формирование культурной компетенции и речевого этикета у учащихся
- воспитание толерантного отношения учащихся к представителям других народов через знакомство с культурой их стран
- воспитание уважительного отношения к своим товарищам
- совершенствовать навыки использования ранее изученных лексических единиц в рамках темы урока
- повторить и активизировать грамматические речевые образцы (If I…, I would…; I wish…)
- расширить объем рецептивного словаря учащихся
Оснащение урока: компьютер, ролевые карты, микрофоны, шарфы разных факультетов школы «Хогвартс» и др.

Well, we are going to talk about school, but an unusual one. (слайд 3)We’ll get acquainted with the author of a series of novels Joanne K. Rowling, meet the characters of her book and even attend a lesson at Hogwarts. We are going to have a lesson of a role-play today. Each of you got a role-play card beforehand. Look through the evaluation sheets on your desks, you are to assess yourselves during the lesson.

A host Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. My name’s … and I’ m the host of the programme “Popular people”.
We are happy to see a famous British writer and the author of the series of novels about Harry Potter in our studio. Take your seat, please.
The correspondents of the famous magazines have come to our programme to take the interview.
As far as we know, Joanne, your fantasy books about Harry Potter brought you world recognition and popularity.
Rowling That’s right. They became the best-selling books in the history of literature. These books have become the basis for a series of films, which were also very successful.
Journalist 1 When and where were you born?
Rowling I was born on the thirty first of July in 1965 in England.
Journalist 1 What were your parents?
Rowling My father was an engineer and my mother was a science technician.
Journalist 2 Is it true that you started writing early?
Rowling Absolutely. I started writing fictional stories rather early, at the age of nine. My first listener was my younger sister Dianne.
Journalist 2 Did you study well?
Rowling Well, I was a diligent student, I read a lot and had excellent marks in English. But I wasn’t very happy being a teenager because my mum was ill, it was a terrible time in my life.
Journalist 1 Sorry. What did you do after school?
Rowling I failed the exams to Oxford. Nevertheless, I entered the Exeter University and worked as a secretary at the research department.
Journalist 2 When did the idea to write a fiction about magical school come to you?
Rowling It came to me unexpectedly when I was going back to London by train.
Journalist 2 Did you earn your living only by writing books?
Rowling Of course not! I taught English in Portugal and in my free time I wrote the novel. By the way, it wasn’t easy to sell the first book.
The host All in all, there are eight books about Harry Potter and they have an enormous success. I wonder if you are the prototype of Hermiona.
Rowling Well, it’s true, but I’m not very proud of it.
The host As far as I know, in 2000 you created a charitable fund. Who do you help?
Rowling We help the poor, the sick, the families with one parent and the children.
