  The aim of my project.
  The purpose of our work is to study better such country as Great Вritain. To show geographical position , the state emblems and famous sightseeing. Also its helps you to broaden and enrich your knowledge about this country. The more we know, the more we want to know.

  Flag.
  The Flag of the Kingdom of Great Britain was the royal banner known as the King's Colours. The design dated from the early 17th century, when it was ordered by King James I and VI to be used on ships on the high seas, and it subsequently came into use as a national flag with the union of England and Scotland in 1707. The flag consists of the red cross of Saint George, patron saint of England, superimposed on the Saltier of Saint Andrew, patron saint of Scotland. Its correct proportions are 1:2. The flag's official use came to an end in 1801 with the creation of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. At that time Saint Patrick's Flag was added to the flag of Great Britain to create the present-day Union Flag.

  Coat of arms.
  On a usual variant of the coat of arms of two lions and seven heraldic leopard: six gold leopards azure II weapons on the shield, three in the 1st and 4th fields divided shield (they correspond to England). Scarlet, lion with azure II armament in the second field represents Scotland. Golden crowned lion supports the shield to the right. On the other hand shield supports chained in a chain unicorn.

  Geografical position.
  The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland covers an area of some 244 thousand square miles. It is situated on the British Isles. The British Isles are separated from Europe by the Strait of Dover and the English Channel. The British Isles are washed by the North Sea in the east and the Atlantic Ocean in the west.
  Geographical position of Great Britain is rather good as the country lies on the crossways of the see routes from Europe to other parts of the world. The sea connects Britain with most European countries such as Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Norway and some other countries. The main sea route from Europe to America also passes through the English Channel.
