Тема: «Национальная кухня России и Англии»
Цель: Закрепление
знаний, умений, навыков устной речи по данной теме.
Задачи: -
учить составлять рассказы с фразеологизмами и вести беседу;
- развивать общение на
английском языке;
- воспитывать культуру
речевого общения и здорового питания.

The topic of today’s lesson is “Russian and English traditional cooking”.
We’ll talk about how to order meals and how to cook your favourite dish.

dish and analyse its qualities. By the way, what food is considered to be
healthy?
As far as you know, Russian
traditional dishes have vitamins and carbohydrates to give you energy.
Your home task was to prepare reports
about your favourite Russian dish. Fix your recipes on the board so that
everyone can see them.

“Loraine prepared dinner”
Taught
by her grandmother’s old cook, Loraine had a light hand with pastry, and as
there was lard in plenty from a home-killed pig, and slabs of butter on the
larder shelf, she was soon busy with a rolling pin. First she prepared puff
pastry and set it in its first stage in the larder, then made short crust for a
fruit pie for tomorrow’s lunch. Remains of a cold joint were in the larder, so
she diced it and prepared a curry with plenty of onions and sultans, to be
headed up tomorrow. Ellen excelled at fruit cake and shortbread, but declared
that she was “a poor hand at a sponge”, so Loraine made a large Victoria
sandwich.
