Урок на тему «Английский язык в мире» (с презентацией)

Урок по английскому языку в 7 классе

по УМК Биболетовой М.З. «Enjoy English»

Тема: «Английский язык в современном мире»

Цели урока:

1. Развитие лексических навыков по теме «Англоговорящие страны».

2. Развитие навыков аудирования и чтения.

3. Формирование грамматических навыков по теме соединительные местоимения who, which, that.

4. Закрепление страноведческого материала по теме «Страны. Национальности. Языки».

Оборудование: мультимедиапроектор, презентация Power Point, магнитофон, аудиоприложение к учебнику 7го класса по УМК Биболетовой М.З., карточки.

Ход урока:

- Good morning, boys and girls. I’m glad to see you again. I’m sure that you are full of energy and ready to work hard. I would like to start our lesson with a funny poem, because it deals with the topic of our lesson today. I give you 1 minute read it and say what topic we are going to discuss. (Anticipating.)

-Did you guess the topic?

-You are quite right. Today we’ll have a talk about English as a world language.

Начало урока. Приветствие.Введение в сюжет урока.

Дети читают стихотворение, которое находится на слайде (Слайд 2)

Three little kittens.
They haven't learnt their English.
And they began to cry,
"Oh Mister Teacher, we sadly fear
Our English we haven't learnt".
"What? Haven't learnt your English?

You naughty kittens.
Then you will get bad marks.
You will be uneducated!
You will be ignorant!"

The three little kittens.
They have learnt their English
And they became so glad.
"Oh Mister Teacher, we are so happy,
Our English we have learnt".

"What? Learnt your English?
You clever kittens,
Now you will have top marks".

и высказывают свои предположения:

-We are going to speak about the English language.

-These words help us to remember the names of the countries, languages and the nationalities of people living in them. (Слайд 3)

China – Chinese - the Chinese

Ireland – Irish - the Irish

Portugal – Portuguese -the Portuguese

England – English - the English

Scotland –Scottish - the Scottish

Germany – German - the Germans

Russia – Russian - the Russians

Italy – Italian - the Italians

France – French - the French

The USA – English - the Americans

Фонетическая разминка.

-Look at the map and answer my questions.

Be active and give the full answers. (Слайд 4)

1) What languages do you speak?

2) Are you proud to be Russian?

3) How can you describe the Russians?

4) Which language do most people speak in the world?

5) Which is the most popular language in the world?

6) Can you name English-speaking countries?

7) What do you know about personal characteristics of the English?

8) Why is it important to learn English nowadays?

(Учащиеся отвечают на вопросы)

- Look at the map and answer the questions:

What countries are marked?

What main languages do people speak in these countries?

What are the capitals of these countries?

- Now you will listen and check if you were right. Match the countries and the capitals.

- What new information have you learnt?

- Tha capital of the Bahamas is Nassau. The Bahamas consist of about 700 islands, only 20 of which are inhabited.

- What language is spoken as the first one in all these countries?

-What is the main idea of the information you have listened to?

(Учащиеся отвечают на вопросы, пользуясь картой)

-the UK, Eire, Canada, the USA, Jamaica, the Bahamas, Barbados, Trinidad, Guyana, Australia, New Zealand.

- People speak English in the UK, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand. But I don`t know what languages people speak in Jamaica, the Bahamas, Barbados, Trinidad, Guyana and Eire.

- The capital of the UK is London.

-The capital of the USA is Washington DC.

- The capital of Canada is Ottawa.

-The capital of New Zealand is Wellington.

-The capital of Australia is Canberra.

(Учащиеся прослушивают аудиозапись и соотносят страны со столицами в карточках (Приложение 1).

-The capital of Barbados is Bridgetown.

- The capital of Trinidad and Tobago is Port of Spain.

- The capital of Guyana is Georgetown.

- The capital of Eire is Dublin.

- The capital of Jamaica is Kingston.

- The English language.

(Учащиеся формулируют основную мысль прослушанной информации)

- English is spoken in many countries in the world.

-Now we know that people of many countries speak English as their mother tongue. I am sure it will not be difficult for you to do exercise 20, page 38.(Слайд 6) You will have to match the questions and the answers. Fill in the table.

- Let`s do ex.8 on p.56. Complete the following statements using the information from the text about the English language.

Активизация навыков чтения. Упр.20 стр.38.

(Учащиеся читают про себя и соотносят вопросы с ответами, затем в парах зачитывают вслух).

Упр.8 стр.56 (Учащиеся устно выполняют упражнение, используя информацию, полученную из прочитанного текста и проверяют с помощью презентации (Слайд 7).

- The English language is spoken all over the world. Do you like English? Let`s read a few sentences about the English language. Read, compare and remember. (Слайд 8)

Ознакомление со словами who, which, that и с правилами их употребления.

- I know the boy who/that speaks English very well.

- Look! These are the students who/that won the English competition yesterday.

- English is the foreign language which/that we study at school.

- English is a language which/that is most often used in the Internet communication. (Ученики самостоятельно выводят правило, затем письменно выполняют упражнение 24 стр.39 на закрепление данного правила).

-Today we had a talk about English as a world language. Make a cinquain about the English language.

Рефлексия.

(Учащиеся составляют синквейн на тему «Английский язык»)

Is spoken, is used, is studied.

Many countries.

Домашнее задание:

Упр.2,4 стр.29-30 РТ
