Тема урока: «Year after year»
- Активизация лексических единиц темы в речи.
- Создание условий для совершенствования монологической и диалогической речи у учащихся.
- Выработка умений самостоятельно применять знания в комплексе, в новых условиях.
Воспитательная – формирование потребности и способности к сотрудничеству и взаимопомощи при работе в группе, воспитание у учащихся любви к природе, воспитание таких качеств, как доброта, чуткость, терпение;
Развивающая – развитие познавательного интереса у учащихся, развитие мышления и воображения, развитие самостоятельности, творческих способностей, умение проводить исследовательскую работу, использовать разные источники знаний, умение работать в коллективе;
Обучающая – совершенствование навыков практического владения лексикой по теме; совершенствование навыков аудирования, чтения, диалогической и монологической речи, совершенствование лексико-грамматических навыков.
Виды деятельности: чтение, аудирование, диалог, игра.
Оборудование: УМК «Spotlight»-5, Ваулина Ю.Е., Д. Дули, Подоляко О.Е., Эванс В., магнитофон, аудиодиски, компьютер, проектор, презентация к уроку.
1. Приветствие и сообщение задач урока.
Т: Good morning, children. I’m glad to see you today. How are you? What date is it today? What day of the week is it? What’s the weather like today?
Today we’ll have a really interesting lesson. The title of our lesson is “Year after year”. We’ll listen, read, make up sentences and dialogues, talk about seasons and you can present your projects about them. So, let’s begin our lesson.

Kids, I have some questions for you.
What season is it now?
What is the weather like in winter?
What winter months do you know?
What color is the sky?
What winter holidays do you know?
Now children make up your dialogs about winter following these questions.
P1: Hello! – P2: Hi!
P1: What date is it today? – P2: It is the …of February.
P1: What day of the week is it today? – P2: Today is Thursday.
P1: What season is it now? – P2: It is winter now.
P1: What is the weather like in winter? – P2: The weather is cold.
P1: What color is the sky? – P2: The sky is grey and blue.
P1: What winter months do you know? – P2: December, January and February are winter months.
P1: What winter holidays do you know? – P2: New Years Day, Christmas, St.Valentine’s Day.
It is time to present your projects. You can see a colorful presentation on the board. I know that some of you love winter. Let us speak about winter.
P1: It is winter now. Winter is my favourite season. The weather is cold and windy. It often snows. The sky is blue and grey. December, January and February are winter months. There are many holidays in winter. They are New Years Day, Christmas, St.Valentine’s Day.
T: Let us speak about spring.
P2: My favourite season is spring. The weather is cool. It often rains. The sky is blue and grey. March, April and May are spring months.
T: Let us speak about summer.
P3: My favourite season is summer. The weather is hot and sunny. The sky is blue. There are many birds in the gardens. The trees are green. There are many flowers in the parks. June, July and August are summer months. I like to spend my summer holidays with my family on the seaside. I like summer and my family very much!
T: Let us speak about autumn.
P4: I like autumn best of all. The weather is fine and nature is beautiful in autumn. The sky is grey. The trees are green, yellow, brown and red. There are many apples in the apple trees. I like to rake leaves in our garden.
Open your books on page 87. We will listen to the dialogue (ex. 4 p.87).
Now let’s read it aloud and answer the questions:

What is Gus doing in Scotland?
Where is it snowing?
What season is it in Australia?
