Урок-игра по теме "Достопримечательности
Лондона"
Цели
урока:
Учебная: 1) систематизировать и
обобщить знания, умения и навыки по изученному лексико-грамматическому
материалу;
Развивающая и воспитательная:
1. развитие
навыков коммуникативной деятельности;
2. развитие
мышления, памяти, внимания; стимулирование самостоятельности учащихся, а также
активности, старательности, любознательности, обучению контактировать с
товарищами и учителем;
3. воспитание
ценностного отношения к культуре страны изучаемого языка.
Задачи: Обобщить пройденный материал
по теме, развивать лексические, грамматические навыки, навыки монологической
речи и чтения.
Урок-игра проходит между 9 классами во время «Недели английского
языка» в школе. От каждого класса учащиеся выдвигают по 4 человека. Игра
включает в себя 4 задания.
1.Демонстрация презентации «Достопримечательности Лондона»-для
повторения уже пройденного материала.
2. Детям необходимо познакомиться с текстом «Интересные места
Лондона» и заполнить пропуски названиями достопримечательностей Лондона. За
каждый правильный ответ команда получает 1балл
3.Собери слова. Учащимся предоставляется конверт в котором 13
достопримечательностей, но они разделены на слоги, словосочетания или слова.
Детям необходимо их соединить. За каждое правильно собранное слово команда
получает 5 баллов
4.Кроссворд. Детям необходимо ответить на все вопросы. За верно
выполненный кроссворд команда получает 10 баллов.
5. Детям необходимо прочитать
короткие тексты о достопримечательностях Лондона, и определить о каком месте
идет речь.

The theme of our lesson is: “ London.” I think you are ready to start our
lesson. Today we’ll have a game competition among you. You were divided into 4
teams. We shall see what team will be the cleverest and the wisest. And now let us remember the sights of London.

Places
of Interest in London
There are a lot of
places of interest in London. Among them there are: Westminster Abbey,the
Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, St Paul’s Cathedral, London Bridge,
the Tower of London.
London stands on the
river Thames. Crossing the river by the Tower Bridge you can see the
Tower of London. It is one of the oldest buildings of the city. Many
centuries ago it was a fortress, a royal palace and then a prison. Now it is a
museum of arms.
On the bank of the
Thames, not far from the Tower of London, you can see Westminster Palace,
or the Houses of Parliament. It is the seat of the British government
and it is one of the most beautiful buildings in London. In one of its towers
there is famous Big Ben, the largest clock of England. It strikes every
quarter of an hour.
Buckingham Palace
is the Queen’s official London residence. Tourists always go to see the
ceremony of changing the Guard there.
London has many fine
squares. Some of them are quiet, others are busy like Trafalgar Square. Trafalgar
Square is the central square of the city. To the right of the square there
is the National Gallery which has a fine collection of European
paintings.
St Paul’s Cathedral is
the biggest English church. Another famous church is Westminster Abbey
where kings, queens, and many famous people are buried.
London is also famous
for its beautiful parks. Hyde Park is the most democratic park in the
world, as anyone can say anything he likes there. Regent’s Park is the
home of London Zoo.

A bridge over the river Thames. It opens to let tall boats pass underneath. This
bridge was built in the 19th century over the River Thames close to
the Tower of London, from which it takes its name. It has become an iconic
symbol of London. The bridge consists of two towers tied together at the upper
level by means of two horizontal walkways.

A famous department store in Knightsbridge. The store has over 330 departments
making it the biggest department store in Europe. Its motto is Omnia Omnibus
Ubique—All Things for All People, Everywhere. Several of its
departments, including the seasonal Christmas department and the Food Hall, are
world famous.

A square as a public space and tourist attraction in central London, built
around the area formerly known as Charing Cross. At its centre is Nelson's
Column, which is guarded by four lion statues at its base. The square is also
used for political demonstrations and community gatherings, such as the
celebration of New Year's Eve.

between St. Martin's Lane and Drury Lane. It is associated with the former
fruit and vegetable market in the central square, now a popular shopping and

for state occasions and royal hospitality. It has been a focus for the British

clock tower, officially named Elizabeth Tower. The tower was completed
