Организационный момент:
Hello, dear children! I’m
glad to see you. Well, let’s begin our lesson. Today we speak about religion,
revise lexical material.
Now look at these words:
religion is any specific system of belief, often involving rituals, a code of
ethics and philosophy of life.
You know that during
the centuries, religion was the necessary part of human’s life. Religion helps
humanity to overcome difficulties and gave hope for the better future. Nowadays
there are four main religious traditions. There are: Christianity, Islam, and
Buddhism.

some interesting facts about religion and your task is to name the religion:

P: Islam is the second most popular religion in the
world. Islam began in Arabia and was revealed to humanity by Muhammad. God told
many things which are recorded in the Koran, the Holly book of Islam. The
Muslim building for worship is called a mosque. Women do not pray together. If
it is financially possible, Muslims are required to travel to Mecca at least once
in their lifetime. The main Muslim Festival is Ramadan, the ninth form of
Islamic Lunar calendar. During Ramadan all Muslims across the world do not eat
during the hours of daylight.
T: There are a lot of
different religions. But in our republic the main religions are Islam and
Christianity. The majority of us nearly 60% of population are Muslims.
Now discuss please the question
why do we choose Islam?
P1. I quite agree with you
Islam is the second most popular religion in the world. As for me I choose
Islam because my grandparents and parents are Muslims. I was brought up in
Muslim traditions.
P2. You are quite right we
born in Muslim family with Muslim traditions and we’ll keep them all during our
life.
P3. Our roots come from
Muslims, our ancestors were Muslims, so we are the followers.
P4. As far as I know in our
district there is almost 70% of population are Tatars. Tatars keep all Muslim
traditions. I think this is the explanation.
