Цели: развитие навыков аудирования, чтения, диалогической речи; актуализация лексического материала.

I.                   Фонетическая зарядка

Read the poem and complete it with the words

 ‘I like milk and….’

Says little Fred.

‘And I like tea and …’

Says little Sam.

Tell me , little Pete

What do you like to eat?

‘ Well, I like to eat

What is good and …( ответы: bread, jam, sweet)

II.                Аудирование.

Вы прослушаете текст и выполните следующее задание. Write  awful, tasty, nice, ok. Next to the names of food.Поставьте прочерк напротив тех продуктов, которые не ест Шэбби.

Hi! My name is Shabby. My favorite food is ice-cream. I can it eat every day. I also love chocolate, cakes, fruit. They are tasty. Apples and bananas are very nice. But I never eat the kiwi  fruit, because it is not sweet. Vegetable salads are OK. I eat them with rice and potatoes. But I don’t eat meat  because I’m vegetarian. I usually drink a lot of juice and water. Orange juice is very tasty. I don’t drink a lot of coffee or tea. Coffee is awful and tea is OK in the evening.

Very nice. Good of you.

III. Let’s have a rest (relax)

Stand up.   Bread and butter, milk and tea,

                   Put your finger on your knee,

                   Bread and butter, cake and ice

                   Put your hands on your eyes

                   Bread and butter, juice and eggs,

                   Put your hands on your legs.

IV. Now I’ll give you the cards. Find and cross the odd word.

VI. Listen to my stories and name the kind of the shop I’ll describe.

1.     People can buy biscuits, cakes and sweets here ( the sweet shop)

2.     You can buy fish in this shop( at the fishmonger’s)

3.     We buy white bread and brown bread in the shop (at the baker’s)

4.     People buy sour  cream, cottage cheese and different dairy products there( at the dairy)

5.     You can buy pork, beef, chicken, mutton and sausages in the shop( at the butcher’s)

6.     We can buy sugar, flour, rice, salt there (at the grocer’s)

7.     We can buy many goods there( at the supermarket)

8.     What shops should we go?....

VII. Now you know everything about the shops. I would like you to make up a dialogue “At the food shop”. You may use: I want …, what kind of…?, Do you want anything else? How much is it? That’s …rubles.

VIII. Do you want to know what presents people usually buy for Christmas? Let’ s read the text and we’ll find the answer to the question.

Some weeks before Christmas shops are very busy. People buy presents for relatives and friends .Choosing a present is a difficult business .People never buy whatever comes up. You should think twice and try to find the reasons before buying this or that. The methods of shopping may vary. It may be a self - service shop where the customer goes from counter to counter selecting and putting into a basket what he wishes to buy. Then he takes the basket to the check-out counter, where the prices of the purchases are added up. If it is not a self-service shop, and most small shops are not, the shop-assistant helps the customer in finding what he wants. You pay money to the cashier and he gives you back the change. Sometimes  people buy fabrics and footwear, glass, ready-made clothes and cosmetics, toys and electric appliances, furniture and sport goods, cameras and films, and what not.
