Teacher: Good morning children and guests.
Who is on duty today? What is the day today? What is the date today?
At our previous lessons we said that travelling is very often an important part of people’s life. There are many ways of travelling that attract a lot of tourists. And today I want you to elaborate upon this idea and prove this statement. Let’s start our lesson.

Teacher: first of all repeat after me:
Kinds of transport, a bicycle, a motorcycle,
a plane, a train, , underground,
an airship, a hot-air balloon,
a helicopter, a spaceship,

Работа с поговорками
Детям предлагаются поговорки на английском языке, им необходимо подобрать русский эквивалент:

3. Every country has its traditions.

Alice: I’ve heard that your lesson is about travelling. And if you want I can take you to one country where I will show you its sights. What country do you prefer?
Children: We’ve learnt much about Great Britain and its capital - London. We want to make our trip there.
Alice Your wish will come true. I will bring you to the sights of London and you will tell me everything about it that you know.

Guys, I see you know much about London, but I know nothing about you town…
Teacher: It’s not a problem; our children will tell you about our town and will show its sights too!
Almaznaya is a historic "Klondike". The great and heroic events are receding into the past, in which our town played a big role.
So now we are going around our town and invite you, dear guests to follow us.

The fate of cities and the lives of people are similar and unique. Our town – is glorious, which history is woven of light and darkness, of joy and sorrow. Although Almaznaya is experiencing not the best times, but for each of its residents there is no lovelier place, because it is our land, our destiny. You say, the Route across Almaznaya? What is there to show?
And now we'll show you and tell.
Railway station – is a business card of Almaznaya
Here to the platform came the trains. The residents met and accompanied to their friends and relatives. Unfortunately, it does not work now because of the circumstances, but we believe that soon all will return into its place.
Each of us has a soul, faith lives in each of us. As in the most difficult and in the happiest moments of our life we remember God and of course, we need a temple, in which you can come to turn to God. This is the place where citizens go on holidays and weekends.
In 1986, a music school was opened in Almaznaya, which in 1992 was reorganized into the children's school of arts.
New departments were opened there, such as: fine arts and choreography.
Children's school of arts is the only institution of aesthetic education.
Students give concerts to the residents of the town; participate in regional competitions of performing arts.
Of course it is difficult to imagine the lives of the residents of the town without libraries. The library was operated in the club "Metallurg", but after the closure of the plant, it ceased to exist.
Great gift for residents was the relocation of Stakhanov branch of the library in the former school Number19. Music School and library are in close cooperation, organizing joint activities.
The club "Leisure"
Difficult times have experienced the club in the 90 years of the twentieth century, but survived. Now it is the center of culture and leisure. There are local festivities, proms, organized hobby groups, the office of community "Almaznaya," and public reception.
The beam and recreation "Spring»
The beam and recreation "Spring» are the favorite places of relaxation for the residents not only of Almaznaya, but also Stakhanov. Here we immediately enter into the atmosphere of pleasant coolness, the soothing rustling of the leaves, and the enchanting singing of birds. People bathe in the bet, rest in the cozy gazebo. Inhale the air saturated with the smell of blossoming grasses, bark and leaves of trees. These are lovely places of a rest.
