The aims of the lesson: to introduce  new theme and new words, to activate use of the new words, to work with pictures, to revise personal and possessive pronouns,

to tell the time;

to develop  pupil’s reading, writing, listening, speaking skills, to write neatly and correctly;

to develop interest of pupils to  English language, to bring up pupils to take care of their health, to do everything in good time.

The type of the lesson: lesson of the new knowledge.

Methods: group work, individual work.

Visual aids: pictures, CD-disk, DVD-player, a clock, a placard, a microphone.

                               

                                             The  procedure of the lesson

 

I. Organization moment.

Teacher: Good afternoon, boys and girls!

Boys and girls: Good afternoon! Good afternoon!

                        Good afternoon to you!

                        Good afternoon, dear teacher!

                        We are glad to see you!

Teacher: I am glad to see you too! How are you?

Boys and girls! I am fine, thank you!  And you?

Teacher: I am Ok! Let’s begin our lesson!

 II. Warm- up.

 1. Teacher: Look at the blackboard and read this proverb!

              “Business before pleasure”

Can you translate it? You are right!

There is the  Russian  equivalent  ”Сделал  дело , гуляй смело!

Listen to me and say after me!

III. Introducing the aims of the lesson.

Look at the blackboard! The theme of our lesson” Daily Life”

Today  we speak about your working day. What do you do at home, at school, after school? What do you do in the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening? We work with new words, revise personal and possessive pronouns. You can tell the time .

IV. Checking up homework.

1.     Revision of pronouns

a.     Name me personal pronouns!

I, you ,he, she, it, we, they.

     b. Name me possessive pronouns!

2.    Read your sentences with possessive pronouns.

V. Introduction of new theme and new words.

 Teacher: The theme of our lesson is “Daily Life”. How many days do you go to school?

Can you name these days?

     (Children   give answers)

On these days you go to school, help about the house, do your homework…etc.

a. Work with  this picture and new words.

Teacher: Look at this boy! His name is Tim. He gets at 7 o’clock. He do morning exercises. Tim takes  a shower. He washes his face and hands. He cleans his teeth. He dresses. Then Tim has breakfast. After that he goes to school. He has lessons. Then he comes home from school. Tim has dinner at 14 o’clock. He goes for a walk with his friends. Then Tim goes home, does his homework. He plays computer games. At 8  he has supper with his mother and father. At 10 o’clock Tim goes to bed.

b. Look at the placard. There are many new words and listen to me!

1.     to get up

2.     to wash face, hands

3.     to clean teeth

4.     to do morning exercises

5.     to take a shower

6.     to dress

7.     to have breakfast(dinner, supper)

8.     to go to school

9.     to have lessons

10.  to come home from school

11.  to go for a walk

12. to do homework

13. to play games

14. to  go to bed

c. Phonetic training.

Listen to me and say after me!

d. Look at the pictures and translate, please!

e. Write down these words, please!

VI. Answer the questions!

1.     What does he do in the morning?

2.     What does he do?

3.     What does he have?

4. What does he do after school?

5. Does he help about the house?

6. What does he do then?

7. Does he play?

8. What does he do in evening?

VII. Lets play “In chain”.

 Work in chain  T—P(1)-P(2)-P(3)….

You must use these new words. I begin and you continue.

T: I get up at 7o’clock , then

P( 1): I wash my face and hands, then

P (2): I do my morning exercises, then

P (3): I dress, then

P (4): I have breakfast, then… etc.

 Thank  you. You work well.

   VIII. Physical training. Let’s relax a little!

  Teacher: Asel and Asem, go and do exercises with your all pupils!

  Stand up! Look round!

  Shake your head! Turn around!

  Stamp your feet upon the ground!

  Clap your hands and then sit down!

  IX. Musical moment.

 Enjoy your English. Let’s sing a song” Mulberry bush”.

 Listen and sing with singer. Don’t forget to show!

   Here we go round the mulberry bush,

   The mulberry bush, the mulberry bush.     

   Тhere we go round the mulberry bush,                                                                          

   On a cold and frosty morning.

        This is the way we wash our hands,

        Wash our hands, we wash  our hands.

         This  is the way we comb our hair,

  This is the way we clean our shoes,

           This is the way we run to school,

X. Work with clock and time.

Teacher: Look! What is it? I show the time and say. What is the time now?

It is 11 o’clock. It is 12 o’ clock.   Etc.

It is 5 past 11. It is 10 past 11. Etc.

It is 15 past 11 or  it is a quarter past 11. Etc.

It is 30 past 11 or it is half past 11. Etc.

XI. Activation use of words.

1.     Say me “What is the time now?

2.      I  show   the  time! You say me   the time!

3.      Answer my questions and   use “at”.

a. When do you get up?

b. When do you have breakfast?

c. When do you go to school?

d. When do you come home from school?

e. When do you have dinner?

f. When do you have your supper?

g. What do you do in evening?

h.  When  do you go to bed?

XII. Interactive   exercise “Microphone”.

You know a lot of new words. You tell us about your working day.

I’ll give you a microphone. It is for you. Pay attention! Begin, please!

Children begin to tell.

XIII. Individual work.

1.     read the text.

2.     answer the questions.

XIV. Homework.

Write down your homework. Learn new words and make up sentences.

Learn our song “Mulberry bush”.

XV. The End of the lesson.

The lesson is over. You worked  very well. You get good marks. Thank you for your active work at the lesson! I wish you good luck! Good-bye!
