THE THEME OF THE LESSON: “Going to Britain”.
THE OBJECTIVES OF THE LESSON:
1. The educational aim:
a) To enrich pupil’s vocabulary and improve their knowledge in everyday vocabulary
b) To acquaint students with the new words and consolidate them in different form of activities.
c) To improve pronunciation and new vocabulary
d) To continue development of all skills and understanding English speech.
2. The developmental aim:
a) To develop pupil’s oral speech memory
b) To develop the student’s critical thinking: Analyzing of the text. Annotating of the text. Summarizing of the text.
c) To develop the pupil’s listening and speaking skills.
3. The educative aim:
a) To educate young people to be honest, truthful, open-hearted, open-minded.
b) To cultivate interest in learning English.
c) To teach students to be on friendly terms with their classmates.
d) To bring up the best and tolerance in students.
The equipment: text-books, workbooks, flashcards, board, dictionaries, computer and CD, story poster, etc.
The type of the lesson: Combined Lesson (complex application of Knowledge and ways of actions)
THE OUTLINE OF THE LESSON
1. Organization moment
- Good morning students! Glad to see you. How are you?
Make the acquaintance with students by asking questions as:
What date is it today?
What is the weather like today?
Who is absent?
What was your home task? Etc.
2. Warm up exercise
Ask your partner:
What his/her native language is.
What other languages he/she speaks or understands.
What about you?
3. Revision (reading rules revision, phonetic revision)
Say what the people from these countries are famous for?
The Austrians are famous for their music.
The French make good wine.
The Chinese food and silk
The French perfume and cognac
The Germans cars and good beer
The Dutch tulips and dairy products
